C.2.R Chapter 8 Stop

I heard a knock "Rain," Derek repeated for about the 50th time now. I had locked myself in the weight room. Josh said he needed to clear his mind out well now I need to too. How do I feel? No exact word describes how I feel but I'll try let's start with angry, or betrayed, maybe even used. Nope still doesn't truly describe how I feel. I know what doesn't describe how I feel sad. Instead of breaking down and crying currently I'm doing chin ups is that normal for anyone else? No? Thought not what can I say I handle situations like these differently than normal human beings.

The only reason I'm pretty sure Derek is still here is because he thinks I'm going to hurt myself if I don't stop and honestly he's probably right. He knows how I am and when I'm like this I don't exactly think straight and if I'm not careful I'll put myself in great danger. He's like my big brother always watching out for me and I always watch out for him it's how we work, it's how we all work. We all watch each other's backs and balance each other out....or at least we used to.

"Did you forget I have keys to everywhere just like you do?" Derek said from behind me.

"I didn't but I was starting to think you did," I replied not stopping my actions no matter how stupid they were.

"Rain you're going to hurt yourself."

"Tell me something I don't know."

"Can you stop so we can talk?"

"There's nothing to talk about," I said shrugging finishing my chin ups and walking over to the weight bench grabbing the cold metal bar that I could still feel through my gloves.

"I highly disagree with that."

"I could care less what you agree and disagree with right now."

"Tell me something I don't know," he replied mocking me.

"Why are you here anyway? Don't you have Rebecca to deal with?" I replied agitated. His eyes changed into something I couldn't quite comprehend.

"Are you jealous of Becca?" he questioned scrunching his eyebrows.

"Do I have a reason to be?"

"You tell me."

"From what I know which seems to not be much anymore I don't have a reason to so no. Why would you think that?" I questioned raising my eyebrows is there something I should know about?

"Were getting off topic and you're going to get hurt."

"I get hurt all the time it's no big deal it's just part of the job."

"Not physically Rain."

"Would you stop already Derek?" I screamed in anger.

"No, you need to talk to me."

"Why it's not like you talk to me anymore."

"So this is because of Becca."

"NO," I said before I was cut off with my cry of pain. I had completely forgotten what I was doing and dropped the weight but, thankfully it didn't land on me but I'm pretty sure It caused some damage to my hand and wrist pretty bad.

"See what I mean?" Derek screamed walking towards me. "Come here," he said and I followed too weak to argue.

I opened my eyes to be in my room and Derek carrying me to my bed. He laid me down on my bed I guess he thought I was still sleep. As he was about to turn to leave I whispered "Derek, none of this had to do with Becca I just....promise you'll still be there for me?"

"Till the day we die I'll have your back and you'll have mine," he said reciting the cheesy oath we all made to each other three years ago.

"Thank you," I said before drifting again off into sleep. At least I know that no matter what he'll have my back.

So what did you think? I know you're still like who the hell is Stephanie? But all I can say to that is be patient my child. I'm almost out of prewritten chapters so I guess that means I need to start up writing again huh? I hope you guys are enjoying the book so far and I'm trying to update twice a week sooooo yeah I think that's it. Oh the goal for this week is to get to 73 reads. Can we do it? Also, I thought you guys might want to get to know me a little better so every chapter I'll give you one random fact about me. Ok I'm done with annoucements now lol bye lovelies <3 10/26/14
