Chapter 20 Even Ms. Flow Doesn't Cause All This Drama

Friday, doesn't that one word just make you smile? I rolled over in bed as my alarm clock continued to sing. I don't like getting up no matter what day it is. Finally pulling myself out of bed I got dressed and ready for school. Finished I jogged down the stairs sitting my backpack on a barstool.

"Morning," I said taking a piece of cheese toast from its shiny plate.

"Morning, your mom had an early meeting," my dad said turning around with a fresh omelet in his hands.

"Figures," I said not thinking much of it. I finished my toast and grabbed my bag. "I'm staying at the twin's house today," I called as I walked to the door.

"Kay I'll tell your mother when she gets home," he called back not questioning it. Over the years all of our families have become very close so much so we even spend some holidays together. The last doubt in his mind was what would happen if I were to stay over the twin's house. Both my parents know about C.2.R hell, all their kids have been part of it it'd be ridiculous if they didn't. Anyway both of them are extremely supportive about the whole thing and for that I am forever grateful. "Have a great day!"

"Doubt it!" I yelled back before closing the door and heading off to school.

Walking through the front doors I took in a deep breath. High school is different from the rest of the world. Yes, things have changed from the 2015's but one thing remains the same and that is high school. They say no matter how much technology is improved, no matter how many years go by and things advance high school will stay the same and I think they're right. Throw as much technology as you like at us, make our textbooks speak, and our computers holographic but, our generation is defiant and that's exactly our problem or so some believe.

"Tell me why you have three very brawny boys mad at you," Skylar said attaching to my side.

I rolled my eyes "I may have had a little outburst and said some things that weren't exactly nice." I paused "Wait all three are mad at me?"

"One mad, two displeased with your behavior," she corrected.

"Great," I said sarcastically.

Skylar stopped walking and stood in front of me. "Tell me."

"I already told you I--"

She held her finger in front of my face and stopped me "No, tell me what's the matter I'm your best friend I know something's up."

Moving her finger from in front of me I spoke "Well then being my best friend you should also know when it's not the time," I said pushing past her to walk to my locker.

Following behind me she spoke "Ok, well now at least I understand what they mean when they say you're moody. Gesh are you on your period or something?"

"No," I said as my locker sprung open.

"You're getting a taste of Kitty's wrath too huh?" Daniel said joining our conversation.

"That name will just never go away will it?" I asked annoyed.

"No Golden Kitty it won't," Josh said walking up as well.

"What's a Golden Kitty?" Becca's voice appeared questioningly which of course meant Derek was now with us as well.

"Oh gosh here we go," I said shaking my head. "Why does it seem we're always having these little group meet ups at my locker?" I said trying to divert the conversation elsewhere as I closed my locker and leaned my back against it facing all my friends.

"No one answered my question," Becca said impatiently.

"Golden Kitty is her nickname but, we usually just say kitty," Daniel said.
