Chapter 4

Sanchi and Vihaan had finally met for the first time under odd circumstances and awkwardly in a very unfavorable situation. She had literally pushed him away out of the trajectory of the bullet, thus saving the valuable life of an honest cop.

Sanchi fell adjacent to where Vihaan was lying on the ground facing the sky while her body was touching the floor upside down. Staring at her from the corner of his eyes and tilting his neck to the left, Vihaan took a dutiful glimpse of his saviour.

A major shock was already on it's way when he realized that he had been bowled, defeated and overthrown by the only living species who he despised the most in life. He was being saved by a woman which was against his credulity but his heart thumped all of a sudden with an unknown gesture.

Sanchi's dark brown eyes twitched when they met his light black ones, her eyebrows furrowing together in an unbelievably proud fashion. She was contended for having saved Vihaan's life and sent a short prayer to her God in heaven for being with her in every problem.

Vihaan's chiselled warm beige skin, broad shoulders and gravely bulging eyes were all that she could notice at the moment. The scars on his body were disturbing to some extent yet not obstructive enough to hinder her elegant view.

The keen eyes of Vihaan observed Sanchi's every movement as she lifted herself up on her limbs and he followed. Though his knees were hurting and limbs weak from the excessive strains, he would not lose his extra confidence of being a very strong and tough cop.

Their heavily gazing at each other was interrupted when Gora reentered with the local policemen and they caught hold of the goons including Raghu. The semi-conscious Tarun was also taken under custody with a vow that he would be severely punished.

Gora said looking in Vihaan's eyes, "Sir, I hope you are alright. All thanks to this girl who pushed you away from the bullet at the nick of time."

Vihaan nodded frowning for he was at a loss of words in the most grave situation of his life and Sanchi passed them a quick smile. He was definitely not ready to accept the truth of the great incident that had occurred a little while before.

One of the policemen spoke while pushing the goons inside the police van, "It was intelligent of you Vihaan Sir, for sending us information through Gora earlier. We could make it on time."

Vihaan let out a heavy sigh and confirmed, "It's better that you take care of them and send the reports to Indore bureau in a couple of days. Gora will forward the details of the incident to you."

As the policemen took their exit along with Gora, Vihaan found Sanchi still standing by his side. An electrified lightning and loud thunder rose in the murky sky and she pressed her eyes closed in fear. The clashes of thunderstorm and the gurgling of clouds had terrorized her.

He raised an eyebrow still analyzing the poor girl with his doubtful eyes and uttered in his usual gruff voice, "What were you doing here in such a secluded place? Are you a spy or has someone sent you here?"

When Sanchi did not answer, he shook his head vigorously for he was losing patience waiting for an answer from her. "Do I take your silence as some hidden offence? What were you up to? I had seen your reflection in that man's eyes when you were rushing out of the bungalow. Don't hide anything from me or else you'll be in grave trouble!"

Vihaan was repeatedly giving her harsh warnings in his own accent and Sanchi could not think of words to answer him. She was Virendra's secret spy and he had strictly reminded her not to disclose her identity to anyone. Even though Vihaan was his son, she chose to remain silent before him too. Instead, she bent down and picked up his fallen crumpled shirt from the ground and thrust it in between his palms.
