Chapter 11
Sanchi was totally pissed with the way Vihaan acted in the last minute of their secret meeting. She had managed to behave nicely with him even though she knew she was with an arrogant jerk, the one who could spoil any situation anytime with his fuming words and devastating rage.
Why did she display the best of her behavior to him, to the one who always gave her a cold shoulder? It was just because she was grateful to him, to the one who protected her from being molested, the one who saved her dignity, the one who drove from Indore to Ujjain only to disclose a solution to her problem, and the one who bothered to hand over his handkerchief to her so that she could soak her tears.
It was the last hours of the night before dawn when she had to decide what she was going to do. Her life would be taking a drastic turn the following morning and she had no choice. Shifting her position in half-sleep mode, her mind wandered to the pathetic situation she was thrown into, with no other solution in her sight.
She agreed to marry Vihaan, even though secretly but could her life be the same again? She had run away from home for some indecent reasons and getting married to someone was never in her list of life's lonely adventures. Did she really take the right decision by agreeing to marry him though it would remain confined to pen and paper only?
With numerous thoughts running in her disturbed brain, she tucked herself under her soft blanket and put herself to a forceful sleep. She knew she was in the middle of a sea, sailing in a sinking boat where she had no way out of the danger. All she could do was to hold on to her lifeguard Vihaan because he was the only one who could swim her ashore to safety.

The next morning lived up to her expectations as the beaming rays of the sun reminded her subconscious brain of the new day, the day which had brought with it newer opportunities and challenges for her.
Cleaning herself up and properly showered, she fitted the curves of her body into a bright pink Banarasi Bandhani suit, with golden laces striking it's borders. The other long piece of matching tippet hung along her left shoulder to give her a somewhat young bridal look. She was not wearing any sort of heavy special clothing for her marriage, as like saree or whatsoever, but decided to wear something to fit the occasion.
The pink beaded medium length earrings with golden plated tints beamed on either side of her smooth chin. She hated wearing heavy makeup but a little black eyeliner, loose compact and light pink matte lips could steal the show for her. Before leaving the room, she had not forgotten her beautiful golden high heels as it was the favorite part of her daily routine.
She was not in the habit of taking care of her own skin and appearance but somehow felt that tidying up was necessary for the particular day, after seeing how Vihaan used to keep himself perfectly maintained, prim and organised. She was getting under the impression that she had to look at least something noticeable even if she was to only sit before the lawyer. But she would be sitting with him and signing the papers as his wife, even if only for some considerable amount of days.
As she glided down the stairs, her long straight black hair danced in the air like ripples of flowing water down a fountain. She had left her hair open for the first time in her life and she somewhat felt satisfied with herself. Back in her mind, she had already started trusting Vihaan and knew he would never leave her alone without solving her problems. It wasn't the type or the character of an honest cop.
She halted on the last step of the stairs when her gaze travelled across the living room to settle on one outstanding figure. In the centre of the hallway, Vihaan was surrounded by the kids and he seemed to be having a gala time with them. He had brought them gifts, teddies and chocolates, and they were merrily nudging and tickling him. He had befriended them very easily and Sanchi could not help but smile at the cute scenario before her.
