Chapter 54
Ten days had passed since Sanchi's resignation from the bureau and Vihaan's departure from Shaurya's house. The pregnancy reports of Vidya and the problems created out of it were major reasons behind her stay at the Trivedi's. Sanchi had already spoken to Virendra about her decision on the resignation and he respected it. However, she confirmed that she would personally work on analyses from home and send him replies through emails like before.
Though Vihaan had given her the liberty of living all alone by herself for the time being, he used to forward her some morning greetings through messages. Sometimes, Sanchi would luckily reply him in a trance even though her conscience would not permit her. The destiny she was born with was a bane on her birth star and she suffered from it since childhood. Every time she was on the verge of finding a little happiness, her fate had always played a foul upon her.
Her mother Jwala was right, it was something that Sanchi believed religiously. She was a truly unfortunate and unworthy creature, who was bound to dawn ill-fate over the one she shared a part of her life with. The charming and supportive mother like Durga, the innocent and sensible brother like Dheeraj, the loving and righteous father like Virendra, Sanchi could never think of herself becoming the cause for these people getting affected due to her own fate.
The one and only man who had ever come into her life was the good and gracious Vihaan, who was finally capable of winning her love despite all the restricted corners in her heart. She was his prophet and he was her disciple. She had always readily prepared her feet to dive into any danger to save his life. She felt as if his life belonged to only her even though she knew it wasn't.
There was only one thing she didn't know all the while, it was her feet soaring higher in the air even though it belonged to the shabby ground below. She mentally found Vihaan very closer to her always though she considered herself to be a perfect mismatch for him. Guilt struck her when she realized that she was supposed to only bring him misfortunes if ever she stayed with him. She was incapable of imparting the happiness and felicity that he always deserved.
With the densed thoughts clouding her mind, a very faint voice broke Sanchi's reverie. Rohini sat beside her on the steps outside the Trivedi villa and nudged her shoulders. "Hey, Sanchi? Are you busy?"
For the past few days, Sanchi had been giving lessons to Rohini on the ideas of building her career in journalism and they had eventually turned close buddies. Sanchi had also come across Rohini's brother Sahil but, their conversation had each time ended in an argument.
"I am not bu-sy. Tell me if the-re is any topic you ha-ve doubts. I hope you excel well in your ent-rance exami-nation next month," Sanchi said with confidence. "Just concen-trate on your studies lea-ving out rest of the thi-ngs, Rohini."
"I know but it becomes tough sometimes." Rohini traced her fingers through her hair. "I can't concentrate when I know Akash isn't talking to me the way he used to earlier. He thinks I've deliberately left Delhi. How can he just doubt my friendship with Shaurya?"
"And you still want to conti-nue with the relation-ship with Akash, with some-one who has zero trust on you?" Sanchi crossed her arms. "Whe-re was he when you lost your fat-her at such an early age, thre-ats rained in your house and you got your mot-her admitted in Benga-luru? Des-pite being in Hydera-bad, he didn't care to even visit you or your mot-her once. Only conso-ling over videos and pho-ne calls is not consi-derate for any healthy relation-ship."
