I changed into my pjs.
Today was a day spent well. Those cute little kids sang for me and fab5 too! Damn! Nandini Murthy you sure are lucky.
Just how many times have you wished to spend your birthday with Manik? Numerous times and now Aiyappa did it.
Thank you so much Aiyappa. I really love you. You have always made evry wish of mine come true.
Grabbing my book bag i head out to study.
Aajkal to padhai ho hi nahi rahi...
Nandini beta lag ja. Kal fir no padhai.
Pulling the chair out, i settle down and tie my hair in a tight bun. Putting my air pods in i start off studying.
Someone pats my shoulder making me scream. The person puts a palm on my mouth.
"Shh... Mai hoon Nandini." The person says. Manik? What is he doing here?
"Padh rahi hoo?" He asks with his hands still on my mouth. I nod.
"So?" He settles down beside me.
"So what? Why are you out here and not sleeping like you should be?" I ask worried.
"Really? Toh tum yahan kya kar rahi ho? Mata ka jagrata?" He asks sarcastically before rolling his eyes.
"Mai toh padh raha hoon..." I say with a pout. His expression softens.
"Ullu ho tum." He chuckled and i scowl.
"Tumne...tumne, mujhe ullu bola?"
"Arre na-nahi mera mtlb vo nahi tha!"
"To kya tha?" I glare and he gulps.
"Arre tum owls ki tarah jag rahi ho na... Vaise tumhe dar nahi lagta? Itne akele raat ko?" He asks curiously and i smile at him.
"Don't you know? Nandini Murthy kisi se nahi darti!" I raise my collars and he smiles amusingly.
"Achha? Toh agar yahan koi bhoot-pret aa gaya to?"
"Toh kya? Mai usse dara ke bhaga dungi!" He laughs.
"So kya padh rahi ho?" He asks.
"Biochemistry." I make a face and he laughs.
"I hated chemistry and Biology, both in my school days. How do you study both? It's awful." He says.
"Wait, let me guess? Yeh Nandini Murthy ka talent hai?" He answered his own question making me laugh loud.
"Tum mujhe jaan gaye ho Baalak!" I say and laugh again at my pathetic joke.
"Baalak? Mai kis angle se bachha lagta hoon tumko?"
"Aww... Such a baby." I pinch his cheek and he swats my hand away with a scowl.
"Shut up!" He says when I laugh.
"Make me!" I say and jump.
"Wait and watch, Murthy. You have challenged the devil!" He says getting up folding his sleeves.
I chuckle and run away from him. He follows behind.
