Taehyung looked around his temporary room, sighing at how it wasn't much different from his own back home. He decided to unpack- to free himself from boredom- or maybe he was just a little... sad...?
He was in a place he wasn't used to, surrounded by unfamiliar people, and was being forced to do something he didn't want to do. He didn't want to do anything, to be anything.
Taehyung always admired the simple lives of the towns people. He didn't want any responsibilities other than picking strawberries and selling them at the market before heading home and reading a book.
That's the life Taehyung wanted to live.
Was that to much to ask for?
One that wasn't full of names like sir and prince, one where he could just relax. One where he could do what he wanted without being scolded.
Taehyung sighed and slumped into the unfamiliar bed. He thought of ways to relax and do something comfortable.
Eventually he decided to roam the castle in search for something peaceful. And somehow he managed to walk into a garden without being stopped by staff in the halls.
He smiled and smelled the fresh air, his eyes slightly fluttering when a blossom scent filled his nose. He ran a large hand through his red hair and jogged over to a fountain, slouching against the side.
And he thought some more.
He thought about just running away to a lonely village, hoping they didn't know he was royal so he could just forget about the responsibilities and the perfection.
He thought about his kingdom, how he missed his own room and his own hobbies.
And something that surprised him, he thought about Jungkook.
He pictured the younger royal in his head and thought about lots of things.
Like, what would he look like in a baggy shirt and sweatpants?
What does he do when he wants to get away?
Does he even want to?
Does he want to be king?
Will the two of them ever get along?
Taehyung thought, does he even want to get to know Jungkook?
Taehyung got up from the soft grass and walked back into the castle, not stopping until he heard a piano playing.
He had planned on finding Jungkook, for who knows what, but this was an enchanting song that instantly pulled Taehyung's interest. He leaned against the door, eyes wide and ears listening. His mouth fell agape slightly while he listened, curiosity fueling his movements. He opened the door, wondering if the younger prince was the one playing or not.
But what he found when he peeked his head in was something he never expected.
