Immediately after dinner Jungkook and Taehyung sat down with the King.
"Let's map out what you were looking for."
"What do you mean father?"
"No son of mine will live in a little cabin."
"W-Wait we're building a whole new house?!"
"Well of course. I can have it done by the end of the month."
"King Jeon that really isn't necessary." Taehyung said.
"Nonsense." The King said, waving his hand to end their worries. "Now, how many stories?"
"One." Jungkook said. "It doesn't have to be really fancy father... nothing too extravagant."
"You'll have the finest furniture. And maybe I'll bring in the best tailor to fill your closets. You don't want to wear any of these royal getups correct?"
"Uhm..." Taehyung mumbled, scratching his neck nervously. Was this a trick question?
"Jimin!" The King yelled. There was a soft scamper and the orange head of hair poked in the room.
"Yes, your highness?"
"Find me the best tailor in this kingdom. And get ahold of construction."
"Yes King Jeon." Jimin nodded, leaving the room in a swift blur of orange.
"Father this is too much-"
"A garden would be nice... how does that sound?"
"Yes!" Taehyung said, practically at the edge of his seat as the King sketched. Sure he could have somebody do this for him but it was for his son, he wanted to make sure it was absolutely perfect. "It'll save us the trips to town if we have our own garden."
"You've always wanted to farm Tae." Jungkook smiled, laying his hand on his fiancé's knee. Taehyung grinned happily, looking back at the rough drawing.
"What about windows? I know my little Jungkookie loved them when he was a wee little sprout."
"Father." Jungkook groaned, hiding his red face in the crook of Taehyung's neck.
"Well in that case, make them as big as can be!"
For the remainder of the night they spoke about cozy homes and ideas they wanted to put into their own, seeing as this was where they'd live for the rest of their lives. And as Taehyung planned it he even though about making it the location of their wedding. Right in the rolling fields and under the warm sun they'd get married and belong together forever.
~A Month or so Later~
"No peeking!" Jimin scolded as Taehyung adjusted his blindfold. Taehyung lifted his hands in surrender and chuckled, taking blind steps with Jimin's guidance through the grass and further away from the carriage they took. To his right, connected by entwined fingers, Jungkook was waddling around with Hoseok's hands on his shoulders, directing him around large lumps in the terrain. Namjoon's soft whistling was heard behind them as well as Yoongi's soft footsteps, and up ahead Seokjin was waiting for them.
"Oh wow." Namjoon whispered as the house came into view.
"Don't say anything!" Jungkook squeaked, afraid his friend would ruin the surprise.
"I won't, don't worry." Namjoon chuckled. He looked over the house, a little jealous. Jimin and Hoseok positioned the two right in front of it, patting their arms and backing away.
"Okay." Jimin said, smiling. "Welcome home."
Taehyung was the first to open his eyes, met with the view of a beautiful house built of dark wood and decorated with little windows. The roof was slanted, a chimney peeking out from the side. It fit so well out in the open, a complementary garden to the side.
