————————————————————After hugging everybody and waving them off, Taehyung shut the front door carefully. He turned around to look into Jungkook's eyes, smiling happily.
"Never in my life have I been happier." Taehyung mumbled. Jungkook's bottom lip wavered as he sighed.
"I love you so much." He whispered, looking down at the floor. "There were moments where I just wanted to give up and run back to the castle, but I couldn't leave you again even if I wanted to. And even though being rebellious caused us to go through all that stressful hiding, I'm glad you never wanted to be a king because this is the outcome." He said, gesturing at the house surrounding them.
"Follow me." Taehyung said, reaching for the ravenette's hand and guiding him to the bathroom. Jungkook watched silently as Taehyung turned on the faucet and stuck his hands under it, tilting his head to tell Jungkook to do the same. They washed their hands together and dried them on a towel hanging behind them.
"Why are we cleaning our hands...?"
"So we can take out our contacts without irritating our eyes." Taehyung said, leaning over the counter and holding his eye open with one hand, using his other to pluck out the small color changer. And when it was out he chucked it into the trash can, smirking.
"Throw them away?" Jungkook gasped. Taehyung locked eyes with him in the mirror, one naturally hazel and the other a dull brown.
"Yep."
Jungkook hesitated. But there was no point in masking his eye color anyways, right? The patrols were off his ass, he was too far out from town to be seen or recognized, and they were just bothersome. So after Taehyung finished he pulled out his contacts and they joined Taehyung's in the trash.
"I miss that blue." Taehyung said quietly. Jungkook looked closely at his eyes, the blue strikingly bright like the sky and his eyelashes long and dark, framing his eyes beautifully.
"Me too." Jungkook said. He couldn't exactly change his hair with a snap of his fingers, but that didn't bother him too much. In fact, he quite liked the way the dark black made his eyes stand out.
"Should I change my hair?" Taehyung asked as he ran his fingers through it.
"Red." Jungkook replied immediately.
"But I've done red already. Shouldn't I go natural?" Jungkook shook his head.
"Red."
"Okay, I'll make sure it's dyed before the wedding." Taehyung chuckled.
"When are we having that?" Jungkook asked quietly, turning and looking into Taehyung's real eyes and not the ones that stared back at him in the mirror. Taehyung reached out and placed his hands on Jungkook's hips, pulling him closer until their chests were brushing together.
"Soon. I'm sure we can just tell Jimin to plan it and we wouldn't have to do much."
"He'd love that." Jungkook smiled. Taehyung merely hummed and leaned forward, connecting his lips with his fiancé's. Jungkook could barely kiss him with the large smile that threatened to take up his whole face. "What about our honeymoon?" He teased, pulling back. Taehyung narrowed his gaze, his eyelids droopy and seductive as he stared down at Jungkook.
"Why not here? We've got this whole place to ourselves and there's nobody around for miles."
"That sounds nice." Taehyung leaned back in and kissed Jungkook again, taking his bottom lip between his teeth and running the tip of his tongue along it, carefully tracing the puffy curve. "Shouldn't we wait for the honeymoon Taehyung?" Jungkook said, breathing heavily as Taehyung's tongue traveled down his neck.
