"My mother?" Jungkook gasped, eyes flying wide. "Jimin I-"

"Listen, I've been talking to her. She's agreeing to meet with you."

"On what conditions?" Taehyung asked, raising a brow in suspicion.

"Well, for one, it must only be Jungkook. But, King Jeon won't know. It'll be completely under the radar."

"I don't know, that sounds a little skeptical." Taehyung said.

"Well, since the beginning my mother's supported me, I don't know if she'd change her heart so quickly. Maybe she really does want to help us out..." Jungkook mumbled. "She was only disappointed in me, and yeah she has the kingdoms best interests in mind but she only forced me to do things under my father's hand. When it's just the two of us she just let me be... me."

"Are you sure?" Taehyung asked caustically, turning to look Jungkook in the eyes. "I won't be there."

"I-I know... but, I love my mother and I do miss her. And I know that with enough talking I can get her to see where we're coming from."

"So would you like me to relay your response?" Jimin asked. Jungkook sat for a second then nodded his head firmly.

"Yes please. Thank you Jimin."

During dinner Yoongi, Taehyung, and Jungkook chatted about some things to get their minds off the situation while Jimin left to the castle immediately. Taehyung had a feeling that King Jeon new Jimin was assimilated with the two run away princes, but somehow Jimin managed to keep him off his back.

Unless... maybe Jimin wasn't playing for the side Taehyung assumed he was...?

He's been loyal to the throne for years after all, but he's also been there for Jungkook. So... it was a bit difficult to trust the orange-haired butler but Taehyung tried to despite the underlying worries.

"Thank you for dinner Yoongi." Jungkook smiled.

"Of course. It's good to have some company."

"Isn't that what Jimin's for?" Taehyung added, smirking teasingly. Yoongi blushed and gathered the plates, headed to the sink and washing them to hide how flustered he had become.

"Yeah Yoongi, how's it going between you too?"

"Uhm..." The pianist stuttered. "It's been going well actually. We've forgotten about all the misunderstandings and stuff easily, so everything is okay now."

"Good, I was waiting for you to get together." Jungkook giggled. Taehyung smiled at his fiancé, then his eyebrows shot up to his hairline. "What?" Jungkook whispered, noticing  the look on his face.

"Yoongi... we've actually got something I think you'd want to know." Taehyung said slowly, turning to look at Yoongi as he finished the dishes and leaned against the counter, a rag in his hands to dry them and rid them of soap.

"Sounds important... what is it?"

"Oh!" Jungkook exclaimed, finally understanding what Taehyung was thinking about. He smiled like a toddler in a candy shop, bouncing happily in his seat. Yoongi watched him closely, occasionally glancing at Taehyung.

"Guys...?"

"I kind of- sort of- maybe- asked Jungkook to marry me." Taehyung mumbled, failing to fight off the large smile that threatened to take up his whole face. Honestly it hurt his cheeks.

"WHAT?" Yoongi gasped. "Really? Seriously? When? What?"

Jungkook laughed and motioned for Yoongi to sit down which he happily scrambled into his chair, leaning forward to hear the juicy story.

"He just asked me." Jungkook said, shrugging. "He said "marry me" and then I fell asleep and said yes the next morning."

"Awe! That's so cute guys! I'm so happy for you." Yoongi cheered. Then his face turned serious and he clasped his hands together. "Now, wedding plans. I hope to the lord above that you didn't plan on hiring a pianist."

"Oh yes, we've had time to set up the whole thing actually." Taehyung joked. "Sorry Yoongi, we would have asked you to play at our wedding but-"

"WHO'S WEDDING?!" A new voice said from the living room.

"Jiminie's home, we must tell him!" Yoongi said, disappearing for a split second only to come back with a cute Mochi under his arm. "Tell him!"

"Oh boy." Taehyung laughed.

"Taehyung and I are engaged."

"Congratulations guys." Jimin smiled, Bowing his head lightly out of habit but also in a respectful manner.

"A-Are you going to be my best man Jimin...?" Jungkook asked. Jimin smiled and broke out of Yoongi's tight grasp to cross over to the young ravenette, only to wrap his arms around him in possibly the tightest embrace that ever existed.

"Of course, it would be my honor."

Jungkook sniffled, refusing to cry but he was happy. Maybe things were starting to turn around. His mother was willing to chat with him, and boy did he miss being under her protective wing. And Taehyung was the man he loved, the only one he'd ever love this much, and they were getting married. He wasn't to be betrothed to some princess of another kingdom, but to a man who he loved more than his own soul. And he had his friends with him, by his side-

"Jungkook your getting my shirt wet." Jimin chuckled.

"S-Sorry." The younger said, pulling away and swiping at his face to wipe the tears off his cheeks. Taehyung cooed and stood up, wrapping a hand around Jungkook's small waist to tug him closer. The younger royal just leaned into his touch, pressing his forehead into the crook of his neck. "Love you guys." He mumbled.

"We love you too Jungkookie." Yoongi said. "And when this is over, well say it again at your wedding. It's going to perfect, I can see it already. Namjoon will bar tend while Seokjin cooks the food, I'll play the piano and Jimin will be best man. And Hoseok will officiate."

Taehyung burst out in laugher, rubbing his hand soothingly up Jungkook's back and over his shoulders to relax him.

"We should get some rest, Queen Jeon said she'd wish to meet Jungkook tomorrow."

"T-Tomorrow? So soon?" Jungkook asked.

"The sooner the better right?"

"Where?"

"The palace garden-"

"No." Taehyung said, narrowing his gaze as he tightened his grip. "He's not going to the castle."

"Taehyung, Queen Jeon assured me that the King wouldn't be there while they were meeting. And if the staff were to even go against the Queen's word, Jungkook would be long gone by the time the King returned."

"It's okay Tae." Jungkook whispered. "I trust her, you should too." Taehyung grumbled in objection but Jungkook nodded his head, confirming the meeting that was to take place tomorrow.
