Y/N
The van you're in is dead silent. No one speaks, which makes you slightly uncomfortable.
In the past, you always got sent out on missions with your closest friends, so when you got into the vans you had no choice but to mess around.
But this time, you're stuck with... him.
You look out the tainted window, only seeing the dark, mysterious silhouettes of the scenery outside.
You take a quiet but deep breath.
You've been having semi, consecutive, internal panic attacks because that's just how you are everytime you have a mission. Especially when the mission involves breaking into a high-tech, illegal, off site lab that consists of who knows what, and is guarded by the best security system in the world that will undoubtedly be on full alert.
"Alright everyone, prepare yourselves. We're moving out in 10," Captain Jeon says.
Everyone nods, while the eerie blanket of silence settles back into the car after being sliced by your captain's commands.
Since you've already run the plan through your head at least a million times and there's really no point in trying to calm your bouncing, erratic nerves, you check all your weapons, only subtly making sure your really hidden backup weapons are still in their place and, well, hidden.
"Are the nerves getting to you? You can always stay back if you're not ready," Captain Jeon suddenly says, making you jump.
He smirks evily. It's the closest thing to a smile you've ever gotten from him.
"Jumpy now, are we?" He asks.
You glare at him for what feels like the thousandth time today.
"I'm ready, stop worrying about me," you simply state, biting back the words you really wanted to say.
I'm ready, stop worrying about me and worry about yourself, dickhead.
You hate that he's mocking you, earning little snickers from the others. It's not your fault that you can crush someone's fragile heart in your hands without batting an eye but you have multiple mental breakdowns right before you do it.
"It's time," some guy with a deep voice from the crew staying in the van says.
The agents sitting next to the doors at the back immediately kick those doors open, moving out. The rest follow.
You get up, wincing just a little as you move your arm, which you've been careful to keep still for the entire ride.
If I die, I hope he feels bad when his nonexistent brain figures out that my blood's on his filthy hands.
You jump out of the van, Captain Jeon and two other people right behind you.
"You know what to do. Go," Captain Jeon says.
Everyone nods in a synchronized way once again before splitting up, running off either solo or with a partner.
Of course, you prefer going solo, and you happily fought for this.
You start running quietly to the left side of the white building, knife in hand.
No guns unless necessary. Absolutely necessary.
You, at last, find the hidden door that was shown on the blueprint back at base, and you quickly push it open, bursting inside. You find exactly what you expected.
You cover his mouth and swiftly jab your favourite, sharpened knife into the chest of the man on the right, soaking his black shirt in dark blood. Before the other man on the left can react, you roughly grab the front of the man to your right and throw his heavy body at the other man before throwing the useless, bloody doll to the ground. You smirk at the now fazed and confused man in front you for a tenth of a second before wrapping your arm tightly around his neck like a boa and using your other hand to grasp his head and jerk it to the side.
