Nathan Miller P.O.V.

It started in the morning for Selina, Asher was out on a hunting and fishing trip on his own, trying to get some food for the next couple days. We weren't too concerned for he did say he was really only going for small game and maybe one deer if he could. Ryan had come by today too and volunteered to go get his brother-in-law so I could get Selina to the doctor in Saint Denis. The children were with their grandparents just because we did have a feeling that Selina would end up having the baby in due time. I mean, for god sakes it was January and this baby was taking their damn sweet time to come. I felt odd being the one to take her to the doctor, but I knew if Asher was in this position. Even he would do it.

Saint Denis isn't too far when you live in New Hanover, I got myself a place outside Valentine but I really was always with the Sander's Family, it was better than being alone most days. I look over the woman beside me with a look of concern. "You doin' okay, Selina?" I ask before she looks over at me with a huff. "No... This pain never seems to get easier--- But---" She pauses for a moment as she's going through another set of pain, thank god Saint Denis was now coming into view as we're trekking through Lemoyne now. I give her a moment of silence between she blinks for a moment. "But--- I'm glad that this is it. Thank you for being 'round. My husband has the impeccable timing this time around." She laughs before I give her a nod of my head. Asher did have some shitty timing when he wasn't thinking all that right. It was how it was when Arthur was born and we just barely made it. But, by the looks of Selina, I wasn't even sure if he was going to make it this time around. She was progressing pretty quick and I felt like she was because of how close together the shots of pain were for her.
We got within the doctor's practice and he was prepared to help her have the baby within a matter of minutes. I let her go on her own, knowing this was going to be a personal experience for her, but the doctor also said he wasn't shocked that Asher wasn't around, for he knew that man would probably want to live his life to the fullest and even I knew that about my best friend.

I waited and waited and waited till the Doctor emerged about an hour and a half later with a smile upon his face. "Nathan, you wanna come see your new niece or nephew?" I was glad he didn't spoil it for me before I stood from my spot. I was so used to being here he knew exactly who I was and it was flattering. I had been here for literally all four children, besides Sadie. I was responsible for the kids then, but I still got to meet her the same day she was born. "More than enough ready." I grin before I enter the room to see Selina in her usual sitting up position. Hair up now, for I knew it was probably real hot to have a baby like she did. "What is it, Selina?" I asked before she chuckles a bit, gently caressing the cheek of the little one and then her eyes directed back up to me. "It's a little boy." She replies and I smile widely, I was really hoping she'd have another son. Someone who could help protect Sadie from everything. "Little boy huh? What name did you choose?" I then asked as I'm walking up beside her so I could see the little face on that little guy. He was adorable, just as all their children were when they were born. I was impressed that they got these amazing kids every single time. "His daddy is gonna have a bit of a fit, I know he wasn't all about the name, but in my heart, I know it's right--- His name is Asher Andrew Sanders--- Junior. Asher's pride and joy." A son, named after his father, god, Asher was going to be so stricken with emotion when he got to meet his newest son. Even I felt that way just hearing his wife says that she's named this baby after her husband. It was cute and probably a lot for her and him, but mostly for my best friend considering he always did desire to have a kid named after him, but he didn't know if it was ever gonna happen. Andrew was the closest they had right now. I knew he was going to be a bit surprised to hear that his other had his name in his new siblings as well, but Andrew was given his name obviously because of Asher's middle name. I just felt like even they didn't think they would name a baby after Asher ever. "Asher Junior... He's gonna be real happy, Sel. Really damn happy to see and meet this little one." I mutter back to her as we're both just focused upon the baby and I could even say that he looked pretty damn close to his daddy. The hair, the shape of the eyes, damn, even the nose. He would probably look so similar to Asher and I knew this was the right choice. It just had to be.
