"So, where exactly is the school?" I asked Wesley as we walked down the street. It was the day after we had told ghost stories in the tree.

"Not too much farther," he replied with a grin.

After walking for a while we ended up at a large gate.

"Shoot! I forgot there was a gate." He muttered. "Agh, what do we do now shorty?"

"Easy." I shrugged jumping and grabbing onto the wall connected to the gate. "We jump the fence." I swung myself over and hopped down.

"You do realize you're breaking the law right?" Wesley looked at me confused.

"How was your idea any different to begin with?" I smirked.

He sighed and followed as I did. We wandered around managing to find the library and figure out short cuts. We found a courtyard with a large tree and sat down under it. I swear I saw someone in the highest tower but that was impossible since the school was closed.

"It's so hot today..." I gasped pulling on my shirt in attempt to cool down.

"I know... this sucks!" Wesley huffed.

We just sat there in a comfortable silence.

"Wanna play truth or dare?" I asked not really sure what else to do.

"Never heard of that game but as long as it doesn't involve too much moving I'm down for it." He replied with a smile.

"Basically you can pick truth, which means the other person can ask whatever they want and you have to answer truthfully. If you pick dare then they can tell you to do something and you have to do it." I explained. "How about we keep dares to minimum movements."

"Alright, I pick dare." Wesley smiled.

"I dare you to... eat a blade of grass!" I laughed.

"Ew... fine." He picked up a piece and stuck it in his mouth and started chewing. "This is disgusting!"

I fell over laughing. "My turn! I choose truth!"

"Okay..." he thought for a while. "Whats your favorite book?"

"Easy, the history of Thordeon, Volume II." I state with confidence.

"Pft, really?" Wesley chokes out. "You sure are interesting. Alright my turn. I choose truth this time." He shuddered at the thought of eating anymore grass.

"Alright! Who was your very first friend?" I asked tentatively.

"His name was Jaylen." He explained. "I haven't seen him since he left Thordeon to go back home and I only knew him for a month when I was six but he was still a friend. I haven't really had a friend until you appeared..." he scratched his head sheepishly. "Since I was home schooled and tutored up until now I never really met too many other people but the people I did meet are boring and predictable... but you, you are extremely weird!"

"Gee thanks." I rolled my eyes but still smiled. He seemed to sense my sarcasm even with my mask on. "Uh, I guess I choose dare since it wouldn't be fair to do another truth."

"Okay, I dare you to take of your mask!" Wesley pointed at my face.

"I-I can't." I tried. "But..."

He sensed I was troubled and sighed. "If you really don't want to take off your mask you don't have to. I can pick something else."

"Thanks..." I mumbled.

"I dare you to... tell a story?" He tried. "I thought the one you told last night was really interesting."

"I can do that." I thought for a moment. "How about little red riding hood?"

"No idea what that is." He deadpanned.

"Right..." I then told the story of little red riding hood.

Wesley looked at me in horror. "But what about the grandma?" He asked sadly.

"Already said the the wolf ate her." I repeated.

"But she was just a little old grandma!" He complained.

I patted his back in an attempt to comfort him. We just kinda sat in silence.

"How about we stop truth or dare and go get some lunch?" I suggested.

"I didn't bring any money though." He replied.

"It's fine, I'll cook you something!" I smiled, not that he could see it.

"Alright..." He said unsure of whether to be excited or scared.

"It's done!" I called while Wesley sat relaxed on the couch. I set down a bowl of Mac n cheese in front of him.

He poked at the melted cheese with a fork. "Uh, is it supposed to be like that?"

I guess people in this world weren't used to gloopy types of food.

"Just eat." I glared. He seemed to catch on that I was annoyed.

He slowly dug his fork under some noodles and tugged it upward. The stringy cheese stretched and he looked at it in disgust. He slowly inches it toward his mouth.

"Flshdnsk! Stop being so dramatic!" I cried in frustration. "If you really hate it just don't eat it!"

"No, I... screw it!" He shoved the fork in his mouth. He slowly slipped the fork out in confusion. "Ish... ish sho goodge!"

"What?" I asked in confusion.

He swallowed then repeated. "It's so good! Not bad for a shorty."

I glared at him I get it I'm short and small. He could stop pointing it out already.

"What is this?"

"It's Mac n cheese!" I answered. "It's my favorite food!"

Wesley ended up finishing it off quickly. He held out his bowl to me. I sighed and dished our more from the pot. He smiled and ate it happily.

"Are you gonna have any?" He asked.

"Not while you are here!" I laughed. "I would have to take my mask off to eat." I looked at him like he was stupid. He seemed to notice.

"Hey! I'm not an idiot! Giving me that vine as if I am one!" He complained.

"Alright calm down." I sighed.

He left not long after and I went upstairs to meditate. I meditated for five hours before I decided I should stop. I looked to Mochi who was sleeping peacefully on my bed. He opened an eye and looked at me.

"Where have you been lately?" Mochi asked curiously. "You are gone all the time."

"I've been... out." I replied nonchalantly.

"Meh, while you were gone I met the neighbor." Mochi continued. "She seemed nice."

"Please don't tell me you talked to her!" I gasped. "I thought people weren't supposed to know!"

"Relax, I meant the neighbors rabbit." Mochi tried to calm me down. "She's a real nice girl and we had a lovely conversation about lettuce and greens."

I sighed in relief. I'm glad Mochi has a friend. I thought about Wesley. I guess I have one too!
