Let the romance start!! 0//0

Winter left and spring sprung up on its place. The snow melted and flowers bloomed all over, I felt slightly connected to the flowers probably due to my nature element. I still meditated almost everyday but I could tell that my progress was slowing down. Actually I have yet to find out what Wesley's element is or if he even has one. I walked the busy streets and turned the corner to a less busy street. Small flowers swayed in the light breeze and grass sprouted up through cracks in the cobblestone. I fiddled with my new cloak buttons. I wandered around marveling at the sights around me. A custom sword hung loosely from a scabbard at my waste. It was Mr. Evan's late Christmas present to me. It was perfectly made for me. My thoughts trailed back to Wesley. I wonder what he's doing now. I wonder if he's busy. Should I visit him? Does he want to see me?"Veronica?" I heard someone call from behind me. As if on cue I turned around to find Wesley running up to me. "I didn't realize you were here! What a coincidence!"
"Yeah." I laughed. "So what's up?"
"Not much but I have something to show you! Follow me." He pulled my arm and guided me around people and to an even less busy street. There in the middle of the street stood Alisa quickly looking around.
"I swear I just saw Wesley here a moment ago! Where could he have gone?"
Wesley his behind a food cart and called, "Over here Alisa!"
Her head whipped around quickly and she skipped over to where she heard the voice. "I knew you would want to see me!" She shyly giggled. "You're so weird and-"
At that exact moment Wesley pulled a potato sack with eyes drawn on it and screamed at her. It was entertaining to say the least. Alisa streaked and ran off crying while I fell over from laughing.
"See, I knew you would think it was funny!" Wesley laughed. "She deserved it for being generally the worst human being ever." I laughed at his comment. And he smiled and said hesitantly. "Hey we haven't gone to the tree in a while, lets go there tonight."
"Sure!" I laughed still not over the whole Alisa thing.
I walked back alone and plopped down on my bed. Mochi was at the neighbors balcony again and I'm pretty sure the other rabbit was his girlfriend at this point. I wouldn't be surprised. I had too much free time since it was the weekend. I sighed and looked to the closet. A large pile of unused clothes sat in it since I only ever wore my school uniform or pants and a shirt. It was getting warmer again thought so maybe it was time to change my habit of baggy jeans and a not so form fitting shirt and go with shorts instead. I shuffled around until i found my only pair of shorts. Nobody wore shorts In this world since girls only wore skirts and dresses and guys... they weren't really the type to wear shorts. I ended up cutting an old pair of pants to an acceptable length. I skipped this on and looked in the mirror, mine as well have fun with this I guess. I played with my hair until I got bored of that and tied it in a loose braid. I tucked my shirt into my shorts after remembering reading something about that in a fashion magazine in my old world. Before I knew it it was getting darker. I still had to meet Wesley at the tree tonight. I ran through the streets fast enough so that nobody even saw me. I used my stealth skill to get past the guards at the gate for the edge of the city. I made my way up the wooden stairs of the tree to find something unexpected. Stringed lanterns hung from branch to branch and a mattress with a blanket and pillows was set on the floor. Wesley turned around.
"So... what do you think?" He asked nervously.
"It's beautiful!" I breathed loving the way the lanterns glowed against the dark sky.
He let out the breathe he seemed to be holding. "Thank goodness, it took so long to get the lanterns up. I was debating whether or not to use fire magic to light the lanterns but realized that could be dangerous."
