Thomas was nervous, he felt like he was lying to Teresa and he hated that - they both had an anti-lying policy with each other. But he also knew that she would understand why he was hiding all of this from her, it was for her benefit. He really loved her and wished that he could just stop everything horrible that's happened but that is impossible to do. The best thing to do is to stick with Newt's plan so that his sister can be with the person that she deserves: Minho.

Newt felt the exact same. He felt that he was betraying his best friend but just like he found Thomas with the help of Minho, he wanted to do the same for him with Teresa. The Asian sacrificed soo much for Newt and he felt like a horrible friend if he wasn't going to help him now. Newt got his chance at love again, Minho deserves the same.

"Do you think she'll come?" the blonde whispers to Thoams, as they sit at a booth, their eyes scanning around the room.

"Of course. I messaged her that I'll buy her a drink. She'll never turn that down." the boy responds, a small scoff falling out of his mouth whilst rolling his eyes.

Newt nods as he continues to watch the door. To be honest, he felt very uncomfortable being here. He felt that he was trespassing in business that wasn't his and he felt almost embarrassed in being here. Nevertheless, he kept remembering that he needed to do this for Minho. They had only spoken once in the last couple of days and the blonde would only hear mumbles come from his friend's mouth. He looked soo broken, just like Newt did when he was dealing with his problems with Thomas. As Minho helped him, he needed to do the same.

"There she is." Thomas calls, snapping Newt out of his thoughts to look at the brunette girl coming towards.

Both of them cringed at the sight of her as she slid into her seat that was opposite them. The clear stink of alcohol hitting them made them scrunch their noses. It was clear that Brenda had a couple of drinks before meeting them.

"What's up, Tommy boy? Why did you call me here? And where's my drink?" she slurred, clearly only acknowledging Thomas, which made Newt feel slightly left out but he was glad as he didn't think he had the strength to deal with Brenda at her current state.

"It's coming. But first, we need to talk."

"About what?

"About Teresa."

"What about her? She's great! It's been great getting back together with her and getting it down. Your sister's a really good one in bed, Thomas." she smirks, which made Thomas want to throw up in his mouth. He really didn't need to hear that.

"So is that the only reason you got back together with her? Just to fool around in the sheets?" Newt butts in, seeing that Thomas was far too disgusted to speak.

"Oh, didn't notice you there blondie. Me and Teresa have been having some fun but who knows? Maybe it can be even better with you in the picture." she flirts with the blonde and Thomas felt like punching her.

No, really. Newt had to put his arm in front of the brunette as he was worried that Thomas was going to beat the living crap out of her.

"I'm gay, sweetie."

"Doesn't matter. I can still show you how to have a good time." she laughs, edging closer to the blonde, who shifted closer to Thomas.

However, Thomas was fuming. He hated the way she was treating Newt and Teresa. Brenda had no respect for anyone but herself. It was soo infuriating watching her sit there, acting all smug.

"Oh my god! What the hell is wrong with you?"

"What?" she says, looking at the brunette in confusion.

"You're flirting with my bo— friend and practically begging to have sex with him when you're in a relationship with my sister." he yells, but not as loudly so he doesn't cause a crowd listening in.

"So what, sweetcheeks?"

"That's cheating, Brenda. And frankly, you're not good enough for either of them. So here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna leave Teresa alone because we both know that she's better off without you."

"Okay, listen here Thomas. Teresa needs me, okay? She can't live without me. She's desperate for someone to love her. Remember all the crap you pulled on her? Guess who was her stress relief? Me. Seeing her like that, it was easy to get into bed with her. And there's no way you're getting rid of me." Brenda snarls at him, a smug look on her face.

Thomas knew that he was stuck. He couldn't get Brenda to leave his sister alone and he knew that now, that's going to taunt him. She wasn't going anywhere and he had to live with the torment of her. His heart in denial, his mood changed as he felt a soft squeeze on his thigh. He felt reassured that Newt was there. He felt safe.

"Actually we can," Newt smirks, holding up his phone. "I've been recording this whole conversation."

Brenda's face was priceless. Thomas and Newt both had to stifle a laugh because seeing her face in shock and regret was hilarious. Huffing, she fixed herself up and faced the two of them, giving them a death glare.

"You have a choice. Either, leave her alone or we'll show her the recording. That simple, sweetcheeks." Thomas told her, complacent with what he had done.

"Fine, I'll break it off with her. But this isn't the last time you'll see me."

"No, it will." Newt replied, pulling the same complacent face as Thomas.

Rolling her eyes at them, she walks away without another word. Having her out of their sights, the two boys burst into laughter. They couldn't believe they got rid of that nightmare of a person. Thomas was soo thankful that Newt was here with him, there was no way he could do it by himself. Plus, he was able to spend some time with him so he counted it as an added bonus.

"Thanks, Newt. I couldn't do this without you."

"I'm always here for you, Tommy." the blonde smiled at him, pulling him into a side hug.

Just as they were mending Teresa and Minho's relationship, they were mending their own. The two boys could tell that there was something different between them. They just didn't know if it would end the way they hoped.

also for you who think that i hate brenda, i don't, i just made her seem like an arsehole in this because she's the only other person i ship with teresa :/

but this was really fun to write, it's a little happier because the last few chapters have been a little depressing. also seeing newtmas being all cutesy made my heart go 💘💖💗💓💞💕

but seeing your reactions to everything that happens is soo cute and sweet. it really makes my day reading all your comments, i really appreciate them and you <33
