"Well, what happened?" Minho asked as he waltzed into Newt's bedroom just moments after Thomas had left.

The sight of seeing Minho bouncing off his toes, waiting to tell him about all the gossip made the blonde crack a little smile. His friend was always soo nosy, always trying to get Newt to dish out his relationship problems. But he was thankful because the Asian would always give some great advice, even though he had never been a proper relationship himself.

"He kissed me."

"WHAT?!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, so loudly that their neighbours yelled to shut them up.

After muttering a quiet sorry and fits of laughter between the two boys, Newt calmly explained everything to Minho, who nodded and hummed every now and again. Listening to what had happened, the blonde felt terrible for what he did but he was scared. The fear of this happening all over again - he couldn't bear it. After all, their relationship didn't just hurt the two of them, it affected all their friends and family. Newt couldn't bear to put Sonya or Minho through that again.

"Newt, I get that you're trying to look out for us. But we can look after ourselves."

"But because of me and Thomas, you and Teresa—"

"Teresa and I had a lot on our hands, it's not your fault for what happened between us." Minho sighs, placing his hand on Newt's shoulder.

Even though Minho didn't blame Newt, he still found himself responsible. He was soo caught up with what was happening with him that he didn't consider the effect it had on one of his closest friends, who had been with him and supported him throughout his whole relationship with Thomas. He felt guilty, which is one of the reasons why he didn't get back together with Thomas - he didn't want to keep hurting people. He noticed that Minho had gone quiet, his eyes facing the floor and the smile on Newt's face became sympathetic.

"You miss her, don't you?"

"Yeah. Every day."

"Tom?" his sister called out as she hears the front door slam shut, focusing on her reading book while laying on the sofa.

Putting her book aside, she turned to face a heartbroken Thomas, his lips in a frown, his eyes filled with tears and his eyebrows scrunched. Her heart shattered at the sight, she knew that this was going to happen but she hated that she was right. Thomas deserved to be happy and he would always come back broken hearted. Coming up to him, she let him fall into his arms, hearing his mumbled sobs as he stained her shirt with his tears.

"T... I... I don't—"

"Hey, hey. It's okay. Why don't I take you upstairs and we can sort this out." she suggests, pulling him upstairs and into his room.

Teresa didn't know what to feel. On one hand, she wanted to scream at Newt for breaking her brother's heart again but on the other, she needed to be there for Thomas as emotional support. She was soo worried about the whole situation, she never tried anything to stop it from happening. Yes, she threw away the note but that had no impact.

"Don't blame yourself, T." her brother calls, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"What?"

"I can see it in your eyes. You're blaming yourself for what happened. Don't. This was my doing. I knew that after everything that's happened between me and Newt, it was dumb to go back. I should have known that he doesn't love me in the way that I love him." he continues, sitting beside her and taking her hands into his own.

"I tried to protect you and I failed."

"Teresa... you didn't fail. You can't protect me from everything, no matter how hard you try. If anyone failed, it's me."

"What do you mean?"

"With you and Minho."

"You didn't fail me, what happened between me and Minho was our own decision."

"But you miss him, don't you?" he sighed, putting his head on her shoulder.

"Why don't you get some rest? You deserve it after today." she says, helping him get into bed.

After bidding goodnight, Teresa left Thomas to sleep as she went back to read her book. Only what he had said kept bothering her, playing on her thoughts. Even if she didn't want to admit, she knew the truth.

She did miss Minho. Every day.
