"What were the others?" Dr. Banner asks as Rocket bangs on the door to Thor's house.
My head shoots up when I realize he's talking to me. "Excuse me?" I slur with a quick shake of my head, trying to focus. My medication is already hitting me.
"Earlier, you said 'one of the reasons.'" Dr. Banner explains. He glances down at me over his shoulder, curiosity written all over his face. "What were the other reasons you stopped coming?"
"You're about to find out," I grumble as Rocket continues to bang away at the door.
Suddenly the door swings open all on its own. All three of us share a look before Rocket pushes it open farther and strolls in. Dr. Banner and I trail close behind. The first thing that hits me is the smell. I never knew what a guy's room smelt like - T'Challa's chambers were always clean, even when we were kids - but now I know. It would smell something like Thor's house.
"Thor." Rocket calls out as we glance around for the god of thunder.
"Are you here about the cable?" Thor responds as he strolls into the living room. He's regrown his hair but now it's in nappy twists and braids framing his face. He's also grown a long beard and, oh yeah, a gut. Thor got fat. "The Cinemax went out two weeks ago." He continues as he reaches down for a bottle of beer. "The sports are all kind of fuzzy and whatnot."
"I think I found a reason." Rocket mumbles as he sneaks a glance at me.
I shake my head. "Not even close."
"Thor?" Dr. Banner gasps as he watches Thor straighten up and turn to face us.
"Oh ho, oh my god!" Thor cries as he focuses on Dr. Banner. He waddles over and embraces him. "Oh my god, it's so good to see you." He turns to Rocket and motions him forward. "Come here you cuddly little rascal." Thor yanks Rocket to his side, ignoring his protests.
"No, no, I'm good. I'm good." Rocket chants as he squirms out of Thor's embrace. "No, that's not necessary."
Thor glances up at me and gasps. He shoves Rocket out of the way, rushing up to me. "Sigyn?" He gasps as he cups my face. "Oh, Sigyn it's you. I've missed you so much." He cries out as he pulls me close to his shirtless body and lifts me off the ground.
"Now I see the other reason." Rocket mumbles as he watches Thor swing me around in his arms. Dr. Banner nods his head as he tries to get Thor to stop.
I squirm out of his arms, planting my feet firmly on the ground. "Thor, I'm not Sigyn!" I snap, pushing him away lightly. "It's me, Kidara."
Thor gasps again before pulling me into another embrace. "Kidara! It's so good to see you." He then finally puts me down and turns to Dr. Banner. "Kidara, Hulk, you two know... uh, know my friends. Miek and Korg right there." Thor introduces, pointing them out to us.
"Miek. Korg." I greet, giving them a small wave.
I have to be honest, Korg creeps me out. I mean he's a talking pile of rocks, you would think his voice would be deep and gravelly. But no, it sounds like he sucked on too much helium as a kid and now his voice is permanently stuck at a higher octave.
Don't get me wrong, he's a very nice alien, but when he opens his mouth I'm thrown through a loop.
"Hey boys," Korg says with a wave. Miek gives a little wave of his own. "And... and lady." He adds, inclining his head towards me.
