Thor releases a battle cry causing the rest of the masses to follow suit before charging. Those that could fly soar forward as those that couldn't ran at top speed.
I unsheathe my sword as the two armies collide.
I thrust and twirl the blade, stabbing and slashing at the aliens. I activate my gauntlet blaster and fire at more aliens as the others fight around me.
I slide under an alien's swing when a bullet pierces through its face, splattering me with its blood.
"Gross," I whine as I try to wipe the stuff off. I glance up just as the shooter extends his hand towards me. "About time soldier!" I smirk, taking his hand. "Nice to see you, Bucky."
Bucky smirks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Did you just call me 'Bucky'?"
I fling myself at him, giving him a tight hug. Bucky tenses under my touch but relaxes slowly as he wraps an arm around my waist. "It's been a long five years," I murmur into his ear before releasing him and firing my gauntlet at an alien trying to attack him from behind.
He gives me a small hum of approval before turning and shooting at the oncoming aliens. I rush forward, firing my gauntlet and slashing my sword as I go.
In the distance, I see a familiar worrier and an idea forms in my head.
"M'Baku," I shout as I run towards him. M'Baku pauses, turning to face me. "Yazisa!" Launch! I order as I extend my hand, jumping off a pile of rubble towards him.
With a quick nod, M'Baku grabs ahold of my arm and ankle. He spins us around a couple of times before releasing, launching me into the air.
I curl into a ball as I near the ground and a legion of enemy soldiers. Crashing into the ground, I release the pent-up kinetic energy in my suit. The aliens surrounding me crash to the ground as I land in a kneel.
"That hurt," I mutter as I stand shakily. I turn towards M'Baku and flash him a thumbs up. He gives off a series of barks before returning to the battle.
I watch as Brunhilda soars over me on a winged horse before turning just as an alien raises its sword over me.
Suddenly a series of blasts launches it away from me.
"Kidara!"
"Shuri?" I gasp as I turn towards the owner of the voice. I deactivate my mask as I spy her.
My little sister rushes towards me before firing her gauntlet blaster at another oncoming alien. "Are you okay?" She gasps, looking me up and down.
"Me?" I gasp as I shake my head, slashing my sword at an alien that gets too close to us. I pull her in for a quick hug before holding her out at arms distance. "I should be the one asking you that."
"Okoye told us everything," Shuri gasps. "I can't even begin to understand what you've been through. I mean, five years. Five years without any of us around. And we've missed so much!" Shuri rambles as we both continually fire our gauntlet blasters and slash at advancing aliens. "She said that you helped the Avengers bring us back. And then this weird robed man suddenly appeared saying we needed to gather our forces and hurry. Said Thanos was attacking again. So natural-"
"Shuri? What are those?" I ask as I glance down at her feet, pointing at her shoes. I gasp as I recognized them. "Are those my Nikes?" I snap, glaring up at her.
Shuri shrugs innocently as she glances around. "Maybe," she hums.
"Shuri, why are you wearing my Nikes into battle? Don't you have a pair of your own?"
