I hide behind a pillar as soldiers in golden armor march past. Rocket creeps slowly towards me, watching them as they turn down another corridor. He rushes the last few steps before heading to where we left Thor, me on his tail.
"All clear, which way?" Rocket asks as we approach him.
"Oh, my gods! Thor, really?" I shriek as I focus my sight on the ceiling. I turn to the side and shield my eyes from the sight of Thor standing on the railing of a balcony, relieving himself.
"Oh..." Rocket groans as he turns his head too.
"You say something?" Thor asks.
"I said I want to claw my eyes out," Rocket groans. I peek just enough to see Rocket advancing slowly and Thor hop off the railing. "But unfortunately, it wouldn't do me any good cuz I already saw the awfulness."
"Yeah, Thor, thanks for that," I grumble as I follow Rocket. "Now I'm scarred for life."
Rocket hops onto the railing as Thor grabs for his beer can. "Will you focus." Rocket orders Thor.
"I am focused." Thor slurs, gulping down some of his beer.
"This pretty place is about to get uglified real quick by a bunch of freaking elves." Rocket says with a shake of his head as he glances around.
I glance around too, admiring the architecture and beauty that I only got to see in my dreams. Now I'm seeing it in real life.
"Do you know that I saw all these people die," Thor growls as he gestures to the open air. "So, this is a little bit difficult for me, okay? So why don't you reach down deep inside and try and find a small ounce of humanity."
I rest a hand on his arm. "Thor, I am sorry that this is so hard for you, but-"
Thor shakes me off as he waves a hand in my face. "I don't need your sympathy, Sigyn." He slurs, not looking at me.
"I'm not-"
"Just give me the thingy." Rocket interrupts, holding out his hand.
"Just give me the thingy." Thor mocks as he digs in his pockets for the extractor. "I didn't even... I didn't even want to come here." He continues to grumble. "Living through all these repressed memories."
"God, get it together." Rocket murmurs as we watch Thor yank the extractor and some trash out of his pocket. Thor hands Rocket the extractor, focusing on a little bottle of alcohol. "You're embarrassing. All right, which way?"
"I don't know," Thor admits, taking a sip. I snatch the bottle out of his hand before he gets a drink and tosses it over the balcony. "Hey, Sigyn!"
"You don't know? You used to freakin' live here!" Rocket snaps.
"For fifteen hundred years, not forever." Thor snaps before glancing around. "It's that way, I think. Maybe." He adds as he heads in that direction.
"We are dead." Rocket mumbles as we share a look. I rub my fingers against my temple, massaging the constant headache Sigyn's been giving me since seeing Loki. "We are so, so dead."
I nod my head in agreement as I follow Thor, Rocket next to me continuing to walk on the railing.
"Oh, there's Jane." Thor gasps, peering out from behind a pillar. I peer out with him and see her. She looks just like the photo from the briefing. We watch as Jane enters her chambers, the two Asgardian servants accompanying her continue walking down the hall.
