Lauren stood in the upside down.
She was in the supermarket, holding the bag of food as she stared at the Demogorgon through the glass door.
"Lauren, can you hear me?" Dr. Sam Owens asked her and she looked up, trying to locate his voice.
"Yes" she whispered, her heart racing at the sight of the Demogorgon waiting for her outside.
"Alright, you're in a hallucination don't forget that. It's not real. Now, tell me what happened next" She heard the doctor's voice and she gulped, trying to remember the details.
"I-I ran to the back door" she said as she ran and stood in front of the door, her hands trembling by her sides. "And it followed me" she continued as the Demogorgon appeared through the back door. Lauren gasped and took a step back as she felt the goose bumps erupt on her skin.
"I searched for a weapon" Lauren whimpered as she retraced her steps. "And hid behind the aisle" Lauren cried, terrified of what was coming next.
"It's not real Lauren, don't forget that" she heard as she held onto the knife.
"It appeared in front of me" Lauren said before screaming when the Demogorgon grabbed her by the leg.
"It started dragging me! No!" she screamed as she tried to hold onto the floor desperately.
"And what did you do Lauren?" Dr. Sam asked.
"I sat up and I plunged the knife into its hand. It let me go" she said as she did it again.
"What happened next Lauren?" he asked.
"It screeched at me...opened it's mouth so i threw the knife at it" Lauren said.
"Then I ran like hell"

Lauren gasped as she woke up. She was strapped down to a chair in Doctor Sam's office.
She looked up to see the worried look on his face. "It's ok Lauren just calm down" he told her when she started hyperventilating.
"Why did my leg get infected? I thought it had healed" she said and Dr. Sam exhaled.
"It got activated Lauren. We gave you medication so you're not supposed to feel it anymore. We think a part of the Demogorgon is still in there" he said and Lauren's jaw dropped.
"What the fuck? Get it out!" she begged and he held her hand to calm her down.
"It's not easy. We've never done anything like that" he explained before she realized that a few doctors were in the room as well.
"Just poke it out, cut my leg off or something" she said as she laid her head back.
"This could mean something. Maybe it signals the opening of the gate" One scientist suggested and Lauren's jaw dropped.
