I stay close to Fangs, knowing I'm safe with him without the judgment.
But what I crave for is to be in Sweet Peas arms. I want to be safeguarded by that Sweet Pea, like the world depends on it.
But knowing FP, sweet dreams like that don't come true.
I sigh.
"How far are we?" -me
"About a quarter mile from the Wyrm"
-Sweet Pea
"Holy shit. Really?" -me
"Yeah. FP said he had a feeling you
might've been more than half a mile away. But luckily we found you at a quarter mile." -Fangs
"...if it wasn't obvious. Or the message was lost...Thanks. For coming to find me...I don't think I would have been able to find my away back. Considering for an hour I was walking in the opposite direction." -me
"It's okay. Just you gotta stop walking home alone." -Fangs
"Well I hate being someone's problem. And you guys don't seem all that interested in me." -me
"Mikayla. There's nothing wrong with asking for help." -Sweet Pea

I couldn't answer that.
Because I don't need help. I got myself.
Once we got back to the truck. I sent a silent prayer to the heavens.
"Yea FP let us borrow his truck, so we could take hotdog with us." -Fangs
"Cool" -me
Sweet Pea got into the drivers seat. And I went around to the other side to get in. But Fangs insisted he sit by the door. Odd but okay.
"I thought you guys were comfortable with each other?" -me
"What do you mean?" -Sweet Pea
"You guys act like brothers yet you guys can't sit beside each other. Wack." -me
"Just a bro code" -Fangs
"Alrighty but you guys are weird" -me
We all laughed. And started driving back to town.
"Where are we going?" -me
"Back to the Wrym" -Sweet Pea
"But I'm sure I look fucked up. I don't want to walk in looking like this." -me
They both turned and looked at me.
I felt the need to shit a brick.
"You don't look that bad" -Fangs
I looked at Fangs and gave him a look that made him wisely rethink what he just said.
"Sorry. You right. Appearance is everything." -Fangs motioning to his hair.
Sweet Pea made left onto the road that led back to the north side Riverdale.
