A Good Day

"Come on Rue, get up!!!. We're so gonna be late if you don't get up like right now". What was that? Was that a voice? Nah, probably my imagination. I hugged Mojo more. "Rue you're not going to like what I'm about to do". It's that voice again. What's that? Whatever. Come here Mojo. "Rue I'm warning you. Come on." What's that squeaky sound. Splash. I jerked up. "What the fuck was that?" I looked around till my eyes settled on Jess already dressed holding a bucket then I looked at myself then back at her. "What was that for?" "What was that for?! Girl, you need to get up". I laid down back snuggling Mojo closer. "Why do we have to get up so early?" "Early?! Rue we have 10 minutes to first bell". My eyes widened and I sat up straight. "WHAT?!?! Why didn't you wake me up earlier. We're so gonna be late". I flew out of my bed and ran towards the bathroom. Before slamming the door, I heard Jess mumble something about blaming her and something about should've just left.

I don't know how we did it but we did it anyways. I didn't get lost on my way to my first class, Thank God. I'm currently in Government class. Honestly I really do not care about our government like what's my business? But here I am, studying it. I was just basically looking at everybody in class, registering every face, yunno. So far, nobody cared about the new girl. Phew. This was going to be a good day. * Phone buzz*  I stared down at my phone.

Bestieeee: Class boringgg :( You?

I considered answering her or just slipping my phone back into my pocket. Then another buzz.

Bestieeee: You better not ignore me young lady. I know you've seen it.

Oh God..

Rue: Bri I'm in government class. Can we talk later? :\

Bestieeee: Since when did you care about government? : /

I laughed like really laughed. Then I heard a slight clearing of throat. "Miss Evans, would you tell me what exactly is funny about the World War II". Uh oh. I looked up and flashed my cute puppy smile. She just kept staring flatly at me. You've got to be kidding me. "Umm well... you see... It's not... Umm". I could hear students chuckling in the back

So much for today being a good day.

After the bell rung, I stepped out avoiding the teacher's gaze. Jess was already waiting outside with Sam. Sam gave me a big hug and smiled widely. "So how's your first day going?" "Well you see..." "Wait! We'll talk it out over lunch. The lines get long real quick". The two girls dragged me towards the cafeteria.

We approached the table with our meals. The guys were already there. It was until I sat down before I noticed the new face. I looked at Sam before looking back at him. Sam looked at the guy before clearing her throat. "Sky, this is Rue". That was when he finally looked up from his food and stared at me. "Hey Rue". Then he looked back down. I stared quizzically at him before Jace whispered loudly "He doesn't talk much but he's a really cool guy". Oh okay. I smiled widely at Sky. "Hey Sky. Nice to meet you too."

Jess and Sam were talking about something that I couldn't follow, the twins were busy bickering at each other and Sky still hadn't said a word so I started texting Bri on how she got me into trouble. Then Sam yelled "Blake!!!". We all snapped in the direction the yell was headed to. There in the midst of his basketball friends was Blake. He turned in our direction before scowling at his sister. He walked up to our table. "Why do you always have to yell my name infront of everyone?" Oh that voice!. Sam just kept smiling up at him. He groaned. "What do you want?" "I need a new phone case. This one looks old already" "Well then get a new one" "I don't earn money Blake" "Then call your parents" "You mean our parents? But why do I have to do that when you're here or I could just ask your friends". Sam said it out loud for his teammates to hear. You see, half of Blake's friends want a shot with his sister. Why? Cause she's hot. Blake didn't like any of his teammates flirting with Sam or the other way round. "Fine whatever". As he was about to leave, he stopped and looked at me then at Sam then at me again, this time longer. "New face?". Jess spoke up this time. "Yh, that's Rue. She's new". He kept staring at me before he finally spoke. "Hey Rue. Cute hair." I blushed a little. Then he stalked off. I kept smiling till I noticed everyone even Sky was looking at me. Then I blushed again. "What?!"
