Especially Me?

My first period today was Art class. Yay. I walked into the class enthusiastically. I even greeted the teacher, like that's a whole lot of happiness. I sat in my seat quietly texting Noah.

Rue: Hey, sorry I couldn't call last night. Jess needed help with stuff so after we were done I just kinda went off. I miss you :) xx.

Well, it's not like I was lying or something. Jess actually needed me in helping her pick what lipstick would match her top but that only took like 5 mins? Anyways I'm not telling him that. "Anybody here?" I looked up to see Sky staring flatly at me. "Eh.. No. Nobody's here". He just sat quietly. I watched him as he just sat there face bent before staring back at my phone so I wouldn't come off as creepy. The Bell finally rang and class started.

"After our last project, I was thinking of doing something more realistic and something that'll definitely influence you guys. We're going to try and express our moods through drawing like basically what gets you ticked off, what makes you happy, something you're afraid of and so on." I was already so excited imagining the many things I could draw. Miss. Bells seemed like a really nice teacher. I watched her as she spoke so composed and fluently then I sighed. So full of art. "Your first project is to draw something that makes you sad. You're submitting this in two weeks time. Excuse me for a moment." Immediately she went out of the class, people resumed their chitchatting. I turned towards Sky, "So what are you going to draw?". He looked up at me for the first time since class started, "For what?". "For the project, duh". "Um well, maybe I'll draw a dark forest or something". Really?. "What are you going to draw" he looked at me intently. "I don't know yet. I'm afraid of so many things, roaches, spiders, bats, God I hate Cats!". He looked at me flatly "You hate Cats?" "Yh I prefer dogs. I hate their eyes. Ew". The door opened, "Okay guys, these are the materials you're allowed to use for your drawing." Miss. Bells came in with a whole bunch of drawing stuff in her hands. I glanced at Sky for a second and caught him staring at me. When he saw that I had caught him, he glanced forward quickly. Wait, did he just smile?.

"Guess who got a new phone case". Sam smiled widely at all of us. Jess rolled her eyes, "I wish I had a brother." Jeff turned to me, "Rue do you have any siblings?". I made sure to swallow my food before answering, "yh I have a younger brother, Jordan, he is the most annoying creature on earth". Everyone burst into laughter. "Does he go here?", This time it was Sky that asked. Everyone looked as shocked as I did. "No he's back at home" he just nodded. Sam turned to us, "guys there's a party at Blake's place and you're all invited especially you Rue." I'm confused. "Especially me?" "Yeah, Blake said I can't come if I don't bring you so get ready baby there's a party tonight!". Really? Blake wanted me there? He asked of me?. I looked up and caught Sky's eyes before he looked back down. If that isn't weird....

The party was by 6pm which gave Jess and I a lot of time to get ready. Sam was stopping by later. I'm currently going through my closet searching for the perfect dress. I searched and searched and gave up and searched again till I settled for a flowery gown that stops above my knee. It went well with my cream sandals. I applied very little makeup cause I'm not really a fan of baking my face. I was set to go. I turned to Jess and my jaw dropped.
