Trusting You

Forget it All... (Jess)

So, I decided to start writing the point of view of other characters so you get to know what's inside their minds. Hope you enjoy it.

Jess's POV

I wasn't really a party goer but Sam always finds a way to drag me to all her brother's parties, not without a "do not drool over my brother" warning. Yeah, I mean Blake's good looking and all but he's not really my type. I just did it to annoy her and it works everytime.

Rue and I were getting ready for tonight's party and I had no idea on what to wear. I glanced at Rue for a minute, oh she's going for a flowery gown. Nice. I looked at myself in the mirror, "Jess why is it so hard for you to find a dress? I mean it's not like you're trying to impress anybody". "What did you say? I can't hear you" "Not you, Rue". "Oh okay". I stared at myself again in the mirror, this time confidently then I went through my clothes again. I ended up settling with a grey crop top, black high waist jeans and my favourite black sneakers. I applied a little mascara and lipgloss. Yay, all set.

"Oh my God you look so pretty!". I turned to face Rue whose mouth was wide open. I laughed, "oh stop it". "I'm serious! Now you make me feel under dressed". "Honey that gown isn't doing nothing to cover your boobs". She was shocked, "what?! It's covered. see!". I just laughed, "wait till you've had a few drinks" then I walked out to meet Sam who already texted me that she was waiting.

The party was already booming with excitement when we arrived. You could tell what house was having a party cause of the loud music blasting everywhere from inside.
Sam had to yell at us before we could hear her. "Let's go find the guys!". We nodded and followed her inside. This party was the kind of party that everyone rubs each other's bodies on the dance floor, the only advantage is that the house has another room upstairs. So if you don't want to run bodies, you could just go sit there and drink or do whatever. That's where I spend majority of my time when I'm at Blake or any of his friend's parties.

We walked over to the bar. I was kinda excited to see a certain someone till I found this certain someone with his arms round her waist. My heart dropped like it legit dropped. "Hey guys. Rue, This is Miranda. She's also in our year". Rue smiled widely, "Hey Jace, hey Miranda. Nice to meet you". Miranda smiled, "you're Rue right? The new girl" "yup that's me". I just stared at the guy and his arms on her waist. After Sam got her drink, she got down from the stool and walked away yelling, "I gotta find my brother. See you guys later". "Miranda and I are going out to receive some fresh air, wanna come?". I knew Rue was going to say yes but I couldn't, "No we're fine". He nodded and walked off with Miranda. Rue turned to me with a look of concern. "Are you okay?". Come on Jess, you can't let this weigh you tonight so I turned to Rue and smiled, "of course I am. Want to see my favourite spot?"

I took Rue upstairs to the other room. There were a few people making out while some were just chitchatting at least it was better than being down there and you could still hear the music. Rue sat down on the sofa and took in her environment, "This place is really nice." "Yeah Blake and his friends gathered money to buy this place. We could get our own place next year." "That would be nice." She made herself comfortable and started humming to the song they were playing. I needed to get my mind off what happened earlier so I started a conversation with Rue. "You wanna talk?". She turned fully to me, "sure. What about?". "Umm, do you miss home and you know, your friends?". She looked sad for a bit but she brightened up, "Yeah I miss them. I kind of miss my brother. I miss my Bestfriend, Bri even though we still talk literally everyday. I miss Noah too". "You and Noah have been dating for how long". "We've been dating for a year and 5 months". She seemed like she didn't want to talk about it anymore so she just switched the subject. "So where's Sky? He's not coming?" "Sky doesn't really do parties. He's more of an introvert". "Oh I kinda guessed already". We kept talking about different stuff till we heard someone clear their throat. We looked up and saw Blake standing there awkwardly.

"Hey Rue". Rue smiled sheepishly, "Hi Blake, um how're you doing?" "I'm doing great. Actually I came to check on you and know how you're doing." "Really? I'm doing fine. Jess is keeping me company". I watched the two of them stare awkwardly at each other and I couldn't help but laugh. I mean, I've never seen Blake so awkward before it's hilarious. The two looked at me questionly before looking back at each other. "Um Jess don't you have something to do or someone to meet?" Blake looked at me like that's your cue to leave. "Um sure I've been meaning to speak to Sam about something. Bye Rue". From the side of my eye, I saw Blake take a seat where my butt was seconds ago and continued his conversation.

I reached the last step and i felt like puking. The entire room was full of people drinking, smoking and dancing. I think I even saw some sniffing. This is just disgusting. I decided to just go ahead and look for Sam. She wasn't inside so I decided to check the patio, I knew that some people would be there. I opened the door and ouu, some dose of fresh air. I searched around till I reached the corner then I saw them. My tummy clenched, I had to hold the wall to stand up straight. I must have made a sound because they stopped and looked at me. Jace ran up to me, "Jess are you okay?". I couldn't even look at him. "Yeah yeah I'm fine. I ate something earlier so it's upsetting my tummy I just came out to get some fresh air". I know nothing I said made sense but I couldn't process anything right now. "I'll be going now." I walked as fast as I could away from them. God, I made myself look so stupid. I stumbled my way to the bar, "Can I get you anything?" "Just give me something to clear my mind." While I waited, I stared at the dance floor watching everybody. Then I spotted Blake and Rue dancing at the corner. They seem to be having fun. I wonder if Blake likes Rue. "Here you go." "Thanks". Time to forget everything.
