Best Beach Day Ever

We haven't seen much of ourselves for the past week because of our tests. We even hardly grab lunch. I just find an apple or something. It's only in the night that Jess and I get to talk and then we'd facetime Sam before going back to reading. Before I go to bed, Blake and I would talk for like an hour to catch up on our days. He would always sound very tired and I didn't blame him cause these tests were his final tests and he's putting his all in them. Even Liza and Kesha have been spending all their time in the library.

It's Friday and I'm currently writing my last paper. I can't wait for this to end so I can see Blake and the others. We agreed that we'd meet at the ice-cream parlor after our tests. I wrote down my last answer and dropped my pen in satisfaction. I turned to Jace who looked like he was done and was just skimming through his answers. Then the bell rang, "Time up", Miss Poppins said. She went round and collected our papers then she let us go. Jace and I practically ran out laughing. "Finally, that's done!", He smiled as he swung our hands. "I know right", I smiled back as we walked to the ice-cream parlor to meet the others.

We walked in and immediately went to our joint. "Rue!", Jack yelled as he stood up to ruffle my hair and hug me. "How's my favourite person in the world doing?", He smirked at me. I was about to answer when I heard another voice. "Hands off dude", Blake said as he shoved Jack aside. Then he smiled down at me and pecked my forehead, before he could even talk, another voice yelled. "No you hands off mister", Sam frowned as she pushed Blake aside. "Rue!!! I finally get to hug you", she smiled as she hugged me tightly. I laughed as I hugged her back even tighter while watching Blake and Jack roll their eyes before going back to the table to greet Jace in their brotherly way. "Where's Tyler, Jess, Jeff and Sky?", I asked as I looked around. "Tyler's getting the ice-cream, Jess and Jeff are still writing or are probably already on their way here and Sky had to leave early. Bummer", Sam said as she resumed her texting. I made a mental note to call Skylar later. "Ice-cream has arrived", Tyler smiled as he walked towards us. "Oh hey Rue", he dropped the ice-cream and gave me a hug, "What's up Jace", he asked as he moved on to Jace.

We've been here for hours just licking ice-cream and laughing. "Let's go to the beach!", Sam squealed. Everyone looked at her confused as to how the idea came to her head. "Oh come on! Don't look at me like that! Jess you obviously need a tan, Rue you need less clothes you've been wearing too many hoodies lately and you guys need a little beach volleyball!", She pointed at each one of us. We grudgingly agreed and decided we'll go tomorrow. Everyone let Sam do all the planning since she initiated the idea and boy, was it a bad idea.

"You want me in a car with this clown and this short attention guy!?", Jess yelled at Sam as she pointed at Jack who looked offended at her statement and Jeff who was still focused on his game. "But I'll be here with you", Jace said offended. "You always fall asleep in the car", Jess said looking at him flatly before turning back to Sam. "Why do Blake and Rue get to be alone?", She pointed at me as I hid behind Blake. Sam folded her hands and put her chin up in pride, "Jessica, I have said it multiple times that Blake and Tyler's car are taking our stuff that's why you, Jace and Jeff have to take Jack's car. Got it?". Jess let out a groan as she entered Jack's car. We laughed as I grabbed Blake's hand and pulled him towards his car.

"Put your hand in mine! You know that I want to be with you all the time!", I sang/screamed louder than the radio. Blake kept smiling as he drove. Then he gave me his hand as he drove with the other hand, I smiled and held it. "You know that I won't stop until I make you mine!", I kept singing loudly while gently swinging our hands. People were looking at us from the side as we stopped at the traffic light. "La la la la la la la la la la la la", I sang louder but froze when Blake's lips pressed into mine. I looked at him shockingly as he smiled at me, "You were being really loud so I thought I'd silent you". We kept looking at each other till several cars horned and then we realized the light was on green. We laughed as Blake waved his hands outside to apologize then drove off.
