It has been two weeks since the game. Everyone had finally jumped out of game mode and straight into exam mode. Exams are starting in a week time, "I really can't wait for exams to end so we can finally celebrate Christmas!", Sam squealed. "And Rue's birthday, don't forget", Jess chimed in. "Yesss", Sam squealed again. I smiled at them as I put on my tracksuit. "Ouuu my dear brother doesn't know what's coming for him", Sam smiled mischievously. "It's just a tracksuit Sam", I retorted visibly smiling. She just nodded and faced her books, but not before flashing Jess a mischievous grin. Blake and I decided to go on runs together every evening since a week ago. Sam said he never goes on runs with anyone because running was something therapeutic for him so I was really surprised when he asked me. I grudgingly agreed but I was definitely excited since I get to spend more time with him.

"Hey", he smiled and kissed me slightly. "Hi", I wrapped my arm around him. "Where are we running today?", I looked up at him excitedly. Blake has been taking me to random places since I wasn't from here. He took me to parks or hiking spots or abandoned lanes and we would just run and run. I loved the thrill of it and him. "You'll see. This is the best one yet", he pulled me in tighter as we walked to his car.

"Maybe today's a lazy day, maybe today's a lazy day, we making love in a crazy way, maybe today's a crazy day", I sang loudly as I danced haphazardly in the car. I think Blake is already immune to my singing cause he doesn't even cringe anymore. He just shakes his head and laughs or sometimes he would join in if he knew the song. "We're here", he said as he stopped the car and I immediately looked around excited to see where we would be running but I was greeted with a large mass of trees. He got out of the car and I followed suit with a confused face, "Are we playing how to get away with murder?". He chuckled and put out his hand for me to hold, "Don't worry, I promise you that I would donate all of your stuff to Goodwill when you're gone". I stood hesitantly looking at him. He laughed before he walked up to me and grabbed my hands, "I'm not trying to kill you, Evans. Let's go". He pulled me through the mass of trees. The trees started getting scantier as we walked through till we got to a point that there were no more trees. There, in front of us, was a large field, with beautiful flowers, a lake and a huge tree by the side for shade. There was also a bench and a table under the tree. It was so serene and beautiful. "Beautiful isn't it?". I looked up to look at Blake and turned to look at the field again before answering lost of words, "Ye..y..I mean yeah". He chuckled before he dragged me further into the field.

"You look like you ran into a cat", Blake said as we sat under the tree. "I just look sweaty, tired and my hair is all over the place. What about that makes you think I ran into a cat", I said as I sat beside him. He grabbed my hands and intertwined our fingers absentmindedly as he smiled at me, "Remember the other day, when a lady with her cat passed and you kept pushing us further away from them insisting that the cat was growling at you even though cats don't growl". I rolled my eyes at him, "He really was, though. But why are you bringing that up". I rolled my hair up in a bun as he continued speaking, "Don't worry". I frowned at him, understanding what he meant. He laughed as he played with my fingers. I removed them from his and stood up walking off. "Hey! I was kidding", he shouted as I heard him stand as well. I kept walking and stopped at the lake and just stared at it. The water was so clear as it ran past. I picked up a pebble from inside the lake. It was a bright shade of blueish grey and it was very smooth. I quickly put it in my pocket as I heard Blake shuffle close to me. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him, "Come on, you can't stay angry at me". I turned and smiled at his puppy hazel eyed face, "You're right, I can't". I leaned up and brought my lips to his.

"I used to come here alot when I had issues with Mabel. It was kind of a safe space for me when I had the whole depression and rage thing going on. I found it during one of my rage runs when I would run for countless hours to places I didn't know. I fell in love with it immediately and I promised myself that I would bring the person that would bring me out of my dark time", he said as he smiled knowingly at me, intertwining our fingers as we sat beside the lake. "What did she think?", I smiled at him sweetly. His face shifted to a confused look, "Who?". "Your therapist", I smiled at him feigning ignorance. "Oh God Evans", he groaned as I quickly stood up laughing.
