Agitation (Sam)

SAM'S POV

"The police are searching for him everywhere. He's not going to get away", Tyler said to Blake. My brother's been in prison for almost 3 weeks and one of my bestfriend is in the hands of her as dangerous ex, God help me I don't pass out sooner or later.

Ever since Rue's kidnap, security on us has been tighter. There's literally nowhere we go now without guards tagging behind us well except the bathroom. I can't wait for this to be all over. Blake's trial is on hold because of the gun they found in Mabel's house. They don't know if Mabel is the one that set Blake up or they were working together or someone's playing the both of them. They're searching for Noah now but they can't release Blake or Mabel yet till they have a solid proof that they're not involved whatsoever.

Classes have been tight. It's been alot to take in. Exams are getting close and then Blake's graduation. I hope this all works out before then.

I held Tyler's hand as we drove back to the apartment. I got a text and I opened my phone,

Bri: Any news yet? We're all worried.

Me: No. No news yet but the police haven't stopped looking.

I sighed as I dropped my phone back on my lap. I hope this ends soon. Tyler and I stopped at the ice-cream parlor to get ice-cream for everyone since that's all we take these days.

We got down and walked into the parlor. I sat on the table by the door while Tyler went to get the ice-cream. As I typed off on my phone, I heard the door open so I looked up and I see a guy with a face cap walking towards Tyler. I figured it was one of his teammates so I continued typing but I noticed the guy moved towards the door and back at Tyler again. Tyler was oblivious to the guy cause he had his back to him. The guy almost tapped Tyler but froze halfway. I furrowed my brows at this. The guy looked deep in thought as I walked up to him, "Hey" I said. He immediately flinched back, "Um uh hi". "I noticed you were trying to speak to Tyler. Are you his friend?", I asked curiously. He stuttered struggling to speak, "Uh actually, I... I ".

Tyler walked up to us with the ice-cream in his hands, "Who's this?". "I don't know. He wants to speak to you, I think", I shrugged. The guy cleared his throat and pulled off his face cap, "I wanted to speak to you cause of Rue...". I rose my brows, "Oh you want to ask about Rue? Actually we...". He shook his head, "No, I know where she is". Tyler and I froze.

"Jess! Come to the station. We know where Rue is", I spoke quickly into the phone before I cut it as we sped to the station. "Call Flynn as well", Tyler said as he looked at the side mirror at the guy whose name is Brody, sitting at the back. I nodded, "Okay" immediately dialling Flynn.

"He met me one day on my way back from school and he said he had a deal for me. He told me that he knew about my history, how Blake and Dylan bullied me for liking his sister", Brody said to Flynn at the other side of the glass. I turned to look at Blake who didn't seem like his mind was even here. Tyler rubbed my shoulder as I turned back to face the glass. "He said we could pay the both of them back for what they did to me. I asked what his deal was, he said Blake had hurt him too. I agreed because I thought it would be a simple prank like ruining his car or spreading shit rumours. What I didn't expect was that he'd kill Dylan. He said all I had to do was send a message to Dylan through Blake's phone to meet him at the gym and that he'll deal with the both of them there. I didn't know he killed Dylan till I heard it on the news. I told him I wanted out but he refused, saying he could ruin me if I back out", Brody shook as he spoke. I instantly felt pity for him.

"Then he called me and said that he had figured out a plan to get us both out. He said all we had to do was kidnap Rue and plant the gun in Mabel's house. I didn't care as long as he wasn't killing anyone anymore and he said he was going to demand a ransom over Rue so we'd have money to get out but he was lying. One night, when he told me to go plant the gun in Mabel's house, I stayed back for a bit and heard him telling Rue that she should pick where they would go to. She refused so he said he'd pick one by himself", Brody continued speaking as Flynn silently listened. "He's planning to go to Cape town with Rue". I gasped and turned to look at Jess and Miranda. The guys tried to calm us down. Flynn leaned forward and whispered softly, "Where is he hiding her?". "I'll take you there", Brody simply said.

Flynn informed the police everything and they prepared to go to the place. Blake was released due to Brody's statement. He didn't care to take a bath or eat anything, he immediately joined the police. He and Tyler said Jess, Miranda and I should stay back cause of safety. Jeff and Jace were staying with us at the apartment while the guys went with the police.

I paced around the room, slightly agitated. Jess walked up to me and held my shoulders, "Sam hey. Calm down. They're on their way to her. They'll find her.  Trust Blake". I nodded as she hugged me and Miranda joined in, all silently praying in our hearts.
