Trips to Stark Industries

In Trouble | Part Three

Bucky's reaction to his suspension was pretty standard. He seemed mad, of course. At first he was mad at Peter, because a suspension is a pretty big deal. But, after Peter explained that all of his absences should have been excused because they counted as part of his Stark internship, but that none of them were marked as excused because nobody in the school believed he actually had an internship, he was furious at the principal.

Although Bucky's reaction was normal-ish, Tony, Peter's adoptive dad's reaction was not.

He practically exploded, and started pacing around the living room. Tony kept threatening to fly to the school and demand that they lift the suspension, and seemed shocked when Peter told him not to.

"Dad, I don't think that we really need to make a scene out of this. I mean, it's only one week, right?"

"Bambi, that's one week you could be learning!" Tony said.

"Come on," Peter said. "I learn more here at Stark Industries on a daily basis than I do at school and you know that."

Tony grumbled, unable to disagree, as the statement was true after all.

"Fine," He said, and Peter smiled. "So, are you still up for movie night?"

"Of course!" Peter said, grinning.

They snuggled up together on the couch, a couple bowls of snacks in between them. Tony put on one of the Star Wars movies, knowing that they were his son's favorites.

Almost at the end of the movie, Tony noticed that Peter had fallen asleep with his head resting on his dad's shoulder. He smiled at that, closing his eyes as well and drifting off to sleep.
