It was Peter's first suit. The onesie. The suit that was so embarrassing that Peter had tried to burn it in the fireplace about 2 months ago, when it had finally resurfaced from the depths of his messy room.
There were a couple of almost-unnoticeable burn marks on it, which at least showed that Peter had tried to get rid of it. However, to everyone else, the marks seemed like they had came from patrol.
His face was flushed, even though nobody there knew he was Spiderman (sans Ned and MJ), and it was giving him first-hand second-hand embarrassment. Why, oh why did Tony have to display this particular suit?
Flash pushed past him to get even closer to the case, his nose almost touching the glass. He turned back to look at Peter, giving him a snide smirk.
"I bet this is the closest that you'll ever get to Spiderman, Parker," Flash said. "I actually helped him out one time. I gave him my car to use, which of course helped him fight crime and save lives."
"That's not exactly what I heard," MJ said, cutting into the rather one-sided conversation. Peter gave her a thankful glance, and she turned back to Flash before continuing. "Didn't Spiderman basically steal your dad's car, driving it badly and totaling it by the end of the night?"
She must have added the excessive description of how badly Spiderman drove the car for Peter's benefit. She had already gotten her driver's license, and loved to brag about it.
"Alright, everybody!" McKenna said, getting the group's attention. "Now, for our next stop, we'll be watching an official Stark Industries business meeting. We won't be able to hear it for privacy purposes, though." She said.
All of Peter's classmates seemed ecstatic as they exited the museum and walked back down the hallway to the elevator, but for Peter, these kinds of things were normal.
Tony had had Peter sit in on quite a couple of those meetings, and Peter had actually found them to be pretty interesting. It was weird knowing that an entire company's future could be decided in just a short meeting, and always humbled Peter.
Obviously Peter was in a pretty good mood, until his spidey sense started going haywire. It didn't seem like something fatal, but just something Peter should know about.
So Peter, of course, looked back behind him, and groaned at who he saw it was.
