"it's not going to be that bad jack. i think you'll like it here." sydnie sat on the stairs and watched jack pace back and forth.

"you remember that feeling you got in your chest when you were around lukas? or even in a small radius of him?" jack stopped moving and looked around. he was nervous. lukas was sydnie's mate. they met in new york where he's currently studying.

"yeah. why?" she raised an eyebrow at him.

"what did it feel like because i feel a nagging feeling in my chest and it's uncomfortable and hella scary." jack groaned and dramatically fell to the floor.

"well it felt like that. maybe you'll meet them today. just go to school jack. you need it." she sighed and stood up. she easily pulled him up off the floor. "here's your keys. now go."

jack groaned. "fine."

zach got up and changed. he pulled on a pair of black jeans and a red sweatshirt. he slipped his vans on and grabbed his backpack. he grabbed his keys and hurried out of the small house. he's lived on his own since he graduated high school the first time. he currently has two roommates but they always leave before him.

he pulled his hood up and put sunglasses on. he covered his hands and made his way to his car.

he got in his car and quickly made his way to school.

he pulled into his usual parking spot and noticed a motorcycle parked next to his car that he hadn't seen before.

he made sure his skin was covered before getting out of his car. the sun didn't burn his skin like it used to but it still stings and makes it look like he has nasty sunburn.

it also hurt his eyes quite a bit.

zach walked in and looked around for his best friends. he saw them and walked up to them. he pulled his hood off and put his sunglasses in his pocket.

sadie saw him and smirked. "and there he is. how's my favorite dead friend doing?"

"um excuse me i'm literally right here." daniel held his hands up and rolled his eyes.

"yeah yeah whatever. he's older than you." sadie pointed out.

"i've known her for years." zach rolled his eyes. "nice sunburn by the way."

"shut up my mom made me mow the lawn. i can't pretend to be sick every time." daniel shrugged and tightened his grip on his backpack straps.

"yeah i know." zach looked down. he didn't like talking about his family. he so badly wanted to go and find his younger siblings but he knew they wouldn't recognize him. he's supposed to be old and wrinkly but he looks like a newborn baby.

"i'm sorry. i know you don't like talking about it." daniel set a hand on his shoulder. zach just gave him a smile.

"let's go-"

zach's head whipped to the side and his look immediately became sour. a boy and a girl walked in. zach clenched his fist. he already didn't like them. zach watched them walk passed them. zach glared at them and there boy glared back. zach looked him up and down.

"what's your problem?" sadie asked and grabbed zach's wrist where his fists were clenched. he made himself bleed. "zach relax you're bleeding."
