ringin' - bonus chapter

i hope you like he first bonus chapter. i had this idea before the book was even over which is why it's out so quickly. 💛

"zach would you hurry the fuck up?" daniel called up to the boy. daniel checked the time on his phone again knowing that they needed to be at the venue in twenty minutes.

zach decided to take his grand old time though.

"i'm coming! what's the rush anyway?" zach walked down the stairs. he was in his formal attire. it was a fancy dinner type thing. jack's family had rented out the place and all of their friends were going to be there. it was just a get together for everyone to catch up.

"we can't be the last ones there. this is for your boyfriend not mine." daniel rolled his eyes. he grabbed zach's wrist and pulled him out of the house. daniel was driving them to the restaurant.

zach kept trying to call jack but the boy wasn't answering so zach figured the boy was busy with his family.

when they pulled up to the restaurant zach got out and quickly walked inside, daniel following him.

zach walked through the doors and looked around. his eyes landed on jack who looked at him and smiled. jack waved him over. zach walked over to the boy and pulled him in for a gentle hug. zach leaned up and quickly pecked jack's lip. jack pulled back and wrapped an arm around the boys waist.

jack introduced him to some family friends of his that had been traveling europe for the past two and a half that they've been together. zach smiled and was polite as usual.

then dinner came around. zach didn't want to be rude but her really didn't feel like eating. he just couldn't force it down this time.

jack just looked over at him with a concerned look. "you okay?"

jack kept his voice down and nodded. "i'm just not hungry."

jack nodded. he understood. "it's okay. you don't have to."

zach smiled thankfully and gently pushed the plate away from him. he hoped that no one would notice. zach just played with his dress pants.

zach had never been more relieved to have been done eating.

after dinner they all went outside and to the little lookout that the restaurant had. it was nice with the sunset starting to go down in the view.

everyone was chatting and just relaxing in the environment.

zach was talking with jack's mother and grandmother when jack whistled, catching everyone's attention.

zach looked at the boy with a confused look but jack just waved him off.

zach shrugged and took a sip of his drink. he could tell jack was nervous by his mannerisms and he could feel it in the pit of his stomach.

"um so i know my parents initiated this whole get together as a way for our friends and family to catch up but that's not the real reason. i asked my parents if they would organize this so i could have everyone here." jack paused and cleared his throat. he looked at zach who was just as confused as everyone else was. he looked at his parents who nodded their heads. "so i've gathered everyone here so i could do something special for my boyfriend."

zach slowly started to put everything together and his eyes widened. jack held his hand out for the boy who was only a few feet away from him. zach was frozen before daniel started pushing him towards jack. zach's hands were started to shake as he grabbed jack's hand. jack just offered him a smile that relaxed him a bit. daniel took the drink from his hand before scurrying back over to jonah.

"zach and i have been dating for almost three years. i met him during our junior year of high school. we absolutely hated each other mostly because of the werewolf and vampire thing. but then i realized he was my mate and everything changed for me. it took me awhile of acting stupid while trying to convince him to be with me before anything happened. and then everything went wrong with people trying to kill us for like a month. zach almost died, i almost died, i was turned into a weird hybrid vampire, werewolf thing. i still don't fully understand it. then zach almost died again and then we became connected and now we're here. i love him so much i don't think anyone understands that. i would do anything for him and i know those feelings are reciprocated. i love him beyond reasoning and that's why i asked everyone to be here." jack turned to zach who mouthed an i love you back. jack smiled as he grabbed zach's other hand. "so i know we've never talked about it but i think that's because it's completely unnecessary for us. ever since that night where i got turned it's been engraved in my head that i want to be with you forever and even though it's inevitable, i want everyone to know. so that's why i'm asking you, zach, if you'll do me the honor of marrying me. i know we don't have to but i want to. i want to have this piece of humanity for us. so what do you say hotshot?"

zach's eyes were wide as tears formed in them. his eyes were locked on jack who was on one knee and holding a small box in his hand. he chocked out a yes as he quickly nodded his head. jack smiled before pulling the ring out of the box and slipping it on zach's finger. jack stood up and pulled zach into a tight hug, lifting him off of the floor a bit as their friends and family clapped and cheered for them. zach pulled back and cupped jack's face before placing a soft kiss on his lips.

jack set zach back down and kissed him again. "i love you."

"i love you too. so much." zach smiled and held onto jack. that was his comfort place, holding jack and being in the boys arms.

jack pulled back just as people started coming over to congratulate them. the newly engaged couple kept thanking everyone.

the night continued on and zach pulled jack away from the group. they were in a secluded spot out of sight from their friends and family.

zach pulled jack in for a hug. "when i was turned i never thought that i would be able to experience things like this so thank you. you're the best partner a guy could ask for."

"thank you love." jack smiled and held zach.

zach just licked his lips before pulling jack down into a heated kiss. zach snaked his arms around jack's shoulders and pulled him closer. zach parted his lips and jack slipped his tongue past the boys lips. jack gripped zach's hips and pulled him flush against his body.

jack pulled away and started kissing down the boys neck. zach let out a small breath and tilted his head to the side to give jack room. jack moved his hands down to zach's ass, giving it a small squeeze.

zach sighed. "jack i need you."

"you have me baby."

zach could hear the smirk in jack's voice and he huffed. "no jack i need you."

jack basically growled into the boys ear. zach let out a small gasp. "looks like you have to wait until we get home sweetheart."

jack then pulled away from zach and walked back out to the main crowd. zach pouted before walking back out.

it was going to be a long night.
