It's funny watching Zamari examine the clinic for the first time. Was I like this? After spending so much time at a regular hospital this might be a change. Adrian, too, looks around in awe. They examine the pregnancy posters and how the birth should look like and neither of them looks so astonished by it.

    "And that is childbirth, guys. Thank god for vaginas right?" I tease and they both stare at me, awkwardly. "Hey, thank your mom for going through exactly 18 years ago. Be grateful." I playfully hit Zamari and smile as I walk over to Julian who is working on some homework.

    "Are we going to find out if Strella is having a girl or a boy today?" He asks.

    "Zamari is, we are going to find out next Thursday," I say.

    "Why is Zamari finding out today?" He asks, looking up at me.

    "Because he's going to throw us a surprise to see what gender the baby is going to be. Like if he blows up a black balloon he can put either pink or blue confetti inside and when it pops we'll see what the baby is going to be," I explain. His eyes light up.

    "That's so cool!" He grins.

    "Right? But we're going to wait till next week to find out. It'll be our Valentine's day present," I smile.

    He smiles but then his smile makes a turn. "What if I don't want to know? Can we keep it a surprise for me?" He asks

    "Why would you want to wait?" I ask, confused.

    "I don't know. I just want to wait until she has the baby in her arms," he gives me a cute childish grin. I chuckle and put my hand on his head.

    "I like that excuse. Okay, we'll keep it a secret for you," he smiles back and goes back with his homework.

    "Okay, whoever is going to be in the room with Miss Estrella can step in now," Elisa says stepping out of the checkup room. Strella pops up from behind her with a grin. Mom also walks out of the room and has her arm around Strella.

    I get up and so does Julian and Adrian. Zamari is the only one who doesn't know what to say. "I'm just here to find out the sex of the baby," he says. Strella and I laugh.

    "Oh, so I give the gender reveal to him?" Elisa says, pointing to Zamari.

    "Yup!" Strella says with a smile.

    "Alright then. It shouldn't take long if that's the case. Wait here for a moment and we'll be out shortly," she says to Zamari and leads Strella and mom down the hallway. Adrian and Julian follow and I go after him.

    "Don't leave, okay, birthday boy?" I say, walking backward.

    "If I don't keep looking at these posters I won't," he says and I laugh.

    I turn around and enter the room, closing it once I'm inside.

    "Alright, here beholds the gender of the baby. You are in charge and make sure the party is beautiful," Elisa says handing Zamari an envelope.

    Zamari takes the envelope but doesn't open it. "Bet. Here's my birthday present." He says shaking the envelope.

    "Lo que sea, lo vamos a cueder mucho, verdad mija?" Whatever it is we're going to love it very much, right honey? Mom says hugging Strella.

    "Yep!" She says rubbing her belly. "We should probably go, though. This place isn't big enough for everyone." Strella says taking her jacket from mom.
