I quickly scanned my surroundings to make sure that classmate wasn't still on campus. Walking as quickly as I can, I managed to avoid any other classmates of mine who were still loitering around.
I made my way towards the train station and into the toilets. Going into a cubicle, I grabbed my spare change of clothes out of my bag and wore those instead.
Upon exiting the toilets, I heard my phone ring and checked the caller name before picking up.
"Hi, Yuu. What's up?"
15 minutes earlier ~~~
"Oi, Noya, why are you standing there and muttering to yourself?", Tanaka questioned.
"I'm practising!", Nishinoya stated.
"Practising for what, Nishinoya-senpai?", Hinata asked curiously.
Tanaka crept up behind Nishinoya and looked over his shoulder. His eyes widened and yelled, "THAT'S NOT FAIR NOYA. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WERE GOING TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!".
And with that exclamation, the gym slowly quietened and everyone turned their heads to face the two boys.
"What's going on? Did something happen?", Sugawara asked with a hint of worry on his face.
"Hinata, do you know what happened?", Asahi asked.
"Well, Nishinoya-senpai was standing there muttering about something. He said he was practising", Hinata answered, scratching his cheek.
"You sure he's not just saying some ancient chants in hopes of growing taller?", Tsukishima smirked.
"Nice, Tsukki!", Yamaguchi added.
"HAH?", Nishinoya irked, with veins visible on his forehead.
"Enough with the jokes, guys. What were you doing?", Daichi asked, wanting to continue with practise.
"HE WAS GOING TO CALL OUR QUEEN LILY!!", Tanaka shouted, bending down on his knees and crying comical tears.
"GEH-", Nishinoya yelped.
"EHHHH??", the gym echoed.
"WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE BROS FOREVER, NOYA!!", Tanaka continued, being the drama queen he is.
"Why were you going to call Lily-chan?", Yachi asked Nishinoya.
"I wanted to ask if she wanted to come and watch our practise today", Nishinoya said in a quiet voice, scratching his head, with a faint blush on his cheeks.
"Oh, was that it? That's a great idea", Sugawara smiled.
"Yeah! Let's call her!", Yachi smiled too, jumping up and down.
"W-wait! That's what I was practising for! What do I say? I was thinking of 'O MY QUEEN LILY IT IS AN HONOUR TO GIVE YOU A PHONE CALL'"
"Um, maybe something less... like that?", Asahi strained a smile.
"Just a 'hi' or 'hello' should be fine", Daichi suggested.
"BUT THAT'S SO BORING", Nishinoya whined.
"In other words, you want something that will catch her attention", Tanaka concluded and closed his eyes.
"Yes, that's it! What have you thought of bro?!", Nishinoya shouted and pointed a finger at him.
"Isn't 'hi' just fine?", Kageyama asked the two seniors.
Tanaka held up his index finger and swayed it left to right.
