"Alright guys! Let's show Shio-chan what we've got!", Kuroo hyped up the team.
"YEAH!", they shouted in unison, of course, excluding Kenma.
"Show me everything you've got, Nekoma volleyball team..."
I sat down on the bench and brought my laptop out of my bag. Upon opening my laptop, I was faced with quizzical faces directed at me.
"Weren't you going to watch us, Lily?", Yaku questioned, while getting into his position on court.
"I am", I replied, "They're taking this first-name basis thing wayyy better than Karasuno"
"I can't believe you're not going to give me your undivided attention", Kuroo joked, placing a hand over his heart.
Kuroo was ignored.
"I wanted to write some notes down", I elaborated, which was not a lie, "I just didn't mention the part where I'll send this to Karasuno.."
"Why do you need to take n-", Yaku began, before being suddenly interrupted.
"WOAHHHHH! A PRETTY GIRL IS GOING TO TAKE NOTES ON ME!! I HAVE REACHED THE PEAK OF LIFE!", Yamamoto screamed at the top of his lungs before lowering his voice quickly, "What should I do? What should I do? I'll need to look cool. Duh, obviously! I can't have myself looking lame! But do I even know any cool moves?!", he muttered and blabbered on at high speed.
"I'm taking notes on everyone, Taketora", I said boredly, resting a hand on my chin, hoping for them to get on with practice.
Unfortunately, Yamamoto didn't get the hint that I was bored, but what did he hear? His name.
Yamamoto spun 180 degrees around at the speed of sound, so he was no longer facing me, and grabbed his head with both hands.
"OHMYGOD, OHMYGOD. SHE CALLED ME TAKETORA! Does this means she's interested in me? She's dating our captain though! What should I do? I think she likes me! I think I might finally have a girlfriend?! No, I'm definitely gonna get killed by Kuroo-san. Still..! Take that Kuroo-san! She likes me more that you!", Yamamoto mentally debated, his face bright red, and steam gushing out of his ears.
"Yamamoto, if you're thinking about anything weird.... I'll make sure you won't live past today", Kuroo threatened with a smile.
"EEK-", Yamamoto jumped, clearly scared for his life.
"Aight, calm down , can you guys start yet or nah?", I asked impatiently, some informal language started to slip out.
"I agree, I want to go and buy a new game after this", Kenma spoke in a quiet, yet firm voice.
"Alright, alright, let's start", Kuroo agreed reluctantly.
"Uh-uhm..! Lily-san! I'm going to show you some super duper cool spikes so please watch carefully!", Yamamoto stated in a much more nervous state than before, his eyes shining.
"Obviously we know she's going to watch me the most", Kuroo winked in my direction.
"Ugh, just start", I groaned and gave them a 'shoo' gesture with my hand.
The boys began their warm up before proceeding. The members scattered throughout the gym, some in groups to practice serving and receiving, others spiking or individually practicing.
"Looks like I'll get to focus on them individually first", I thought, and quickly brought up a document on my laptop, "who should I focus on first..?"
I looked up from my screen, only to be met by an eager look coming from Yamamoto.
"There are literally stars emitting from him", I sweat-dropped, "I guess he'll be first".
I signaled a 'thumbs up' towards him. He appeared to have gotten the message, and asked Kenma to toss for him.
