Chapter 2

"Ahhh... I should've just kept saying no.."

I was on my way walking home whilst thinking about what had just happened.

"But he seemed so desperate... ARGHHHHH WHY AM I LIKE THIS"

I slouched my back and sighed deeply. I decided to think about all this once I reached home.

"I'm home"

"Yo, welcome back lil sis", my older brother greeted, with a mouth stuffed with chips.

"Hey bro, where's mum?"

"She's in the kitchen making food", he replied and continued eating potato chips.

"Kayyy. Oh yeah, I checked your browser history and all other information on your computer. That includes your incognito tabs too"

"WHAT. WHY. THERE'S NOTHING ON THERE!"

"Yeah, yeah, there was only stuff like Howtobasic and Factoring Calculator. You're in the green!", I gave him an okay sign.

"*sigh* Why was there even a need to check boi. I'M STILL A PURE SOUL"

"Whatever lmao. It was mum's orders"

I stuck my tongue out at him and went upstairs to my room.

I swung open my doors and immediately face-planted onto my ever-so-soft pillow. I rolled around until I was faced with the ceiling and placed my hands behind my head for support.

"Takeda-san was so confident that his team will impress me... What if they really ARE good? Wait, but then it wouldn't make sense to have resorted to a hacker for statistics of the opposing teams. There's probably some other reason they needed me... I'm just thinking too much into this.. They're probably not even THAT good anyway. Whatever.. I'll just refuse if they're really bad, or just get it over and done with if they're good. Yeah.. that's what I'll do.."

After re-thinking my plan, felt my eyelids grow heavier as I drifted into sleep.

After a long nap, I hazily opened my eyes and glanced at my alarm clock.

"7:00pm?!"

My eyes widened immediately as I saw the time and rushed downstairs. I was met with the sight of my mum and brother already halfway through their dinner.

"You should've woken me up!"

"Sorry, dear, you were sleeping so peacefully so I didn't want to disturb you"

I pouted and sat down at the dinner table, beginning to eat my meal.

"I wonder if it'll be awkward if I just started talking about going out this Sunday... It's such a drag to explain everything.."

"Uh..hey mum.. I'm going out this Sunday"

"Huh? Where are you going? Make sure you come home safe. It's not far from here right? Did you finish all your homework first? Are they boys? Be careful on the roads!", my mum continued on and on.

"Okay mummmm. I'm just going to meet some people and I'll come back afterwards"

"hOlY sHiT yOu HaVe FrIeNdS", my brother said, surprised.

"SHUT UP BRO"

"Don't swear Rei! Don't be so rude to your younger sister! Anyways, be careful okay?? Always be mindful of strangers and make sure you don't accept any food or anything from them!"

"Yeah, yeah, I'm not a little kid, mum"

"I'm just worried, that's all"

"I'll be fine, but thanks for worrying"
