Macy's POV:
She looks at me as if she was analysing stuff. I chuckle at her cute look on her face and ruffle her hair a little and ask her "you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, now can you please do me the honors and tell me your name?".

She blushes into a deep pink color and says "Emma", "such a beautiful name for such a gorgeous girl" I say.
She giggles and says " I like you", "really? But I don't like you at all" I say pouting, I hear Dan saying something to me but I totally ignore him and say "because I love you princess!!" Her eyes twinkle with happiness and she hugs me.

"So why would you allow me to call you momma?" She asks me suddenly, "well, your mom sent me to you so that I can look after her beautiful girl till she comes back" I say, she smiles and says "even if momma comes back, you will always be my momma" my eyes literally water at what she just said. I hug her tightly and say "you are an angel Emma"

"And this angel wants to sleep with momma" she says yawing,I laugh at her and carry her in my arms to her room. And place her on her bed. She holds my hand tightly as if I may vanish away anytime. Dan comes around after sometime with coffee in his hands. I smile at him and take the mug and scoot a little for him to sit, he sits beside me and whispers "thank you"
I just wink at him and savor my coffee.

"So, will you tell me your story?" I ask him after some time he sighs and keeps his coffee mug aside and stares at Emma in pure adoration, "Macy and I were really good friends, or I could say best friends".

I look at him with wide eyes, and he nods his head Smiling "yes.. her name was Macy" "was?" , "We were really close, like we were practically born together. My parents and hers are really close, like they have this brotherhood between them which cannot be broken" he says smiling, "when we were 16, I knew I was in love with her, I really didn't need to convince her or something, on her 16th birthday it happened.." he trailed off..

Dan started to cry, but I didn't stop him I took his hand In mine and squeezed it for him to continue, "I wish I could tell her no, but I didn't, we lost both our virginity That night.. biggest mistake of my life, we were so caught up in the moment that I forgot to wear a condom." He says Taking a deep breath.

"She found out after few weeks that she was carrying Emma, she had to discontinue school because of my carelessness, she had to bare the wrath of her father because of my carelessness, but she was a worrior, she still protected our baby with her life, my parents were ready to bare all the expenses of the baby but her parents especially her dad he disowned her and threw her out of the house, she came into mine and started living with me"

"What happened to her?" I asked, he let out a sigh and continued "during her delivery,her placenta was retained and she died due to hemorrage," he concludes.

I just stare at him with wide eyes and I really didn't know what to say, she died? And Emma doesn't know!

Oh God!

This is so bad..

"When are you planning to tell her?" I ask him, "I don't know Macy, after she died I couldn't take it anymore, I felt so broken, she.. she smiled at me and told me that she loved me and Emma and she died Macy..I saw her die" he says crying. I slowly get up and take Dan's hand in mine and take him to the living room outside,

He hugged me tightly as if I was really his love, I didn't stop him though, he needed comfort and I had to give him and that's all that Mattered to me at the moment, I started brushing his hair with my hands gently to calm him down..

It felt like we stayed in the same position for hours, I never left his side not even a second and he never let go of his strong grip on me either. He looked up at me suddenly and said the words I never imagined he would say, "I love you Macy".

My eyes widened at what he just told and I felt a bit uncomfortable, I never had that feeling towards Daniel, he was more like my best friend to me, I didn't know what to do now so I just looked away. He chuckled lightly and said "idiot..! I meant it as a friend!" I quickly turn towards him with a smile and kiss him on the cheek and say "gosh!! You gave me a heart attack! I love you too Dan"

"Yuck Macy.! I cannot love you like that, it would be so weird" ,"shut up now you are sounding as if I am not even in your league" , "oh please I do have standards" he says smirking, I smack him on his head and say "shut up, your daughter loves me more than you" ,"I don't think so, I'll ask her tomorrow" he says.

"Thank you", he says suddenly, I roll my eyes and say "your daughter is an angel, so I should be thankful to you, that I could be like her mom" he smiles and he starts to get more comfortable on me, I push him away which resulted him falling on the ground, I giggle and say "my couch! Sleep some where else"

And without even waiting for his reply I drift off into a dreamless sleep....
