Macy's POV:
"What is it mom?" I ask her while I dry the dishes. "You know what my question is, so spill" she says in a serious tone. I sigh and say "I don't know how to read minds. So just ask me what you want to know"

She rolls her eyes at me "are you dating anyone of them?"

"No"

"They both like you, right?"

"Yes"

"They came for you?"

"Yes"

"Do you like Damon"

"Ye- no" I quickly say. But my mom notices it. She nods her head with a small smile on her face.

"I'm confused ok? I don't want to hurt anyone" I say and place the dishes aside. "You know? You can't balance everything in life. Some things have to be chosen" she says.

"I'm out of this conversation" I leave the kitchen and make my way towards my room. I see Matt with a hurt expression on his face, so he heard everything?

And I don't see Damon around. I just ignore both of them and shut my door.

My mind drifts off to what my mom just said. I need to choose someone,

but someone will get hurt.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

His face appears.

Is it him? Is he the one for me? I don't know.

Fuck! This is so hard.

A knock breaks my trail of thoughts. "Please come later" I call out. "It's your father"

I immediately bolt towards the door and let him in. He takes a seat on my bed and pats the space next to him, I sit silently beside him wandering why he came here?

"I'm proud of you to be honest" He says. I look at him as if he grew a second head or something? He chuckles at my reaction.

"Boys can be quite a distraction Macy, but I think you know what is right for you in this case. Choose wisely, I know who you might choose"

"Dad, I don't know. I can't-" I sigh in frustration. He pats my back and says "Take your time, but don't do mistakes that you might regret"

With that said he leaves my room. I stare at his back with so many emotions and the most dominant one is shock I guess, never in my life I thought my dad would approve any boy in my life. And here he is today urging me to choose one of them.

"Hey?" Theo stands near the door. "Come on in" I gesture him to enter and scoot a little to create some space for him.

"Where is Matt?" I ask him confused. "He left"

"What?" I ask him confused. "Why did he leave without even telling me?" I ask angrily. "So you wanted him to stay here?" His head hangs low, and doesn't look at me.

I sigh "no, it's just.. he bought you here with him right? I was wondering how you would ride back?" His head snaps towards me and his eyes twinkle in happiness. "So you don't care about him right?"

"I do care about him Theo, I have known him for about an year now." I say groaning.

"Oh."

Silence follows after that. Neither of us utter a word, afraid where we might end up saying something wrong. But this can't continue. My mom is right.

"I like you.." I whisper more to myself, but he heard it because his hand was instantly holding mine. "I'm just scared to jump into a relationship again." He squeezes my hand and urges me to continue.
