Macy's POV: Why would he send me this kind of message? "Hey you alright?" Dan asks me from across the table I just nod my head and excuse myself to call my dad.
He picks up the call immediately "Hello dad?" I say nervously. "Macy, you need to come to William hospital that is near your college" He says his vice breaking a bit.
"Dad what happened?" I ask nervously. "Macy it's your grandfather" He says with a sigh.
That's it, it broke me. It broke me down and I fell on my knees and broke into tears. I could faintly hear my dad calling out for me on the phone, but I was too shattered to even take the phone and respond.
My grandfather?
Is he alright? What happened to him? If he.. I can't even think about that happening to him.
I kept crying harder by each passing second. Untill someone caught my shoulders and they were shaking me vigorously, but I couldn't respond at all. And that's when my cheek stung with pain.
My hand immediately went to my now red cheek and I look up to see Damon with pleading eyes. "Macy please, get yourself together" I nod my head and take his support to get up.
"Dude did you just slap her?" Dan asks following us to the main door. "He did WHAT?" I could hear Matt yelling from Dan's phone. I suddenly felt like I was carrying the world on my shoulders.
Tears kept flowing down my face and I didn't even bother to wipe them off. "Dan I had to do it, now can you just drive the fucking car?" Damon yells. I look at Damon and see that he is holding me tight to his chest and Dan is driving the car? I didn't even realize I somehow magically came into the car.
"Take this pain away Damon" I whisper clutching my heart tightly. He holds my hand and whispers back "it's the easier way and the most dangerous way butterfly, trust me. And that's the last thing I want to do to you" He kisses my forehead and pulls me even closer to fill the invisible gap between us.
He pulls the window down and a chill runs down my spine because of the cold air. I don't know how? Or when? But I just close my eyes and fall asleep in his arms.
"Butterfly wake up, we are here" Damon says shaking me slightly. I open my eyes and see that we are near the entrance of the hospital and it's a chaos out there. There are doctors, patients and attenders running in and out of the hospital. I gulp nervously and look at Damon.
He whispers something to Rebecca and Dan and they both look at each other with doubt but they sigh and leave giving him a nod. Damon kneels infront of me and holds my hand.
