[Daniella's POV]

"Someone's grinning creepily at her phone." I heard Tracy's voice as she sneaks herself in my office.

I immediately put my left hand on my chest in shock as I was not expecting someone to barge in here today. My friends really lost their manners when it comes to me, especially when they bug me with all the dramas I have in life.

"You scared me with your squeaks, you kid!" I jokingly said as I give myself time to breath normally again.

"You missed this voice, Ma'am." Tracy cockily said as she made her way to the couch near my table.

"Well, I have to admit." I chuckled. "How did your vacation go?" I asked, somewhat curious to know how it went. I did not have the chance to ask her about it since I've been in the hospital. I literally care for Tracy as a sister now and I want to make sure that she's ok and she gets all the support that she needs especially with her family issues.

"It went well! I got to see my brother's new baby and I swear I'd give up everything for her! She's so adorable. Look!" Tracy giddily said as she scanned her phone to find a picture of her niece to show to me.

It was a focal photo of her baby niece who's smiling cutely at the camera like she already understands that her photo is being taken. "Aww.." I cooed.

"She really is adorable, Trace." I looked past the phone and see how proud Tracy looks as she tried to lift her phone to my face. "What's her name?"

"Margot." Tracy answered, smile still plastered on her face.

"Babe, I wanna see you." Lindsay's voice sounds so warm and it makes me want to leave the office early today but I can't. There's an upcoming event this week and I could not afford to miss any details about it.

"Me too, babe. Do you want me to drop by your apartment tonight? After I fixed everything here, of course." I calmly said. I've been itching to see her today as well. We haven't seen each other yesterday because of our busy schedules, especially that her mom is in the Metro this week.

Speaking of Regina, she's currently staying at Lindsay's apartment and was trying to persuade her daughter to ask me to come over since she wants me to have a taste of her homemade pumpkin soup. Cute.

"You told me the same thing yesterday." Lindsay whined. Even on the phone, I can see how she pouts through her voice.

I just chuckled at how my girlfriend sounded at the moment. Lindsay's right, I told her that I'll drop by her apartment yesterday and have dinner with them but I was still in the office at 10 in the evening. Who does overtimes like that? Of course, me.

I sighed.

This is by far one of the most tiring week I've ever spent.

"Alright. I promise, I'll leave the office by 6. Let's have dinner there, I'll be there before 7, ok babe?" I promised. I put my phone on speakerphone as I type away my emails on my laptop.

I glanced at my calendar and saw an almost full schedule for the remaining days of this month. I sighed, but I'm still happy nonetheless. Busy schedules mean successful business, right? Right. I cheered myself up.

"I'll let my mom know so she can prepare what she's been wanting to prepare for you tonight. You know, I kinda feel you're more of a daughter to her than me." I heard Lindsay tease. She knows her mom loves her more than anyone else in this world. I just laughed lightly at how childish she currently sounded.

Her mom doesn't know about us being together and I don't think she will know so soon either. Lindsay and I haven't really made it official to everyone we know. We just have a few people know about our status and I'm satisfied with that. The less people who know about us means less drama and gossips. I haven't told my parents as well but I know that they'll find out eventually.
