THE FLEA AND THE ACROBAT
JESS WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING NOT IN HER ROOM, BUT AT THE WHEELER'S. Karen is letting her stay for a week until her Mom gets back from her trip with her new boyfriend.
So her mother says they're just friends, but Jess knew it was more than that. She thought it was odd.
She never even heard of her mother seeing anyone until she walked in on them that morning, and her mother never even talked to her about him.
She believed that it was because they never talk. Which was true. They never had that kind of relationship, not even before. She was always her father's daughter, and best friend.
She missed him a lot today.
It was Will Byers 'funeral' even if it wasn't really Will, which sounded completely messed up, it brought her back memories from her father's funeral. Instead they had an empty casket. When Jess got out of the small day bed in Nancy's room. Nancy was already up and not in her bed. She looked at the time and decided to get ready. She pulled out her black funeral dress and shoes. Slipped it on, went to the bathroom to do her hair and add a little makeup.
She started with her hair and curled it today. She then went into her makeup bag and only applied some mascara and blush on her cheeks. When she was done, she walked back into Nancy's room who was dressed for the funeral.
"Morning," Jess smiled sadly.
"Morning," Nancy said.
Jess didn't know why she was sad. It wasn't Will. It was not Will. If Joyce Byers was right, it wasn't her son, and it could lead to them both finding Barbara and Will. Maybe they were in the same place. Maybe they were hidden somewhere. She didn't know, but she was going to figure it out if it's the last thing she does.
"Ready?" Nancy asked.
Jess nodded. "Ready as I'll ever be."

When the 'funeral' was over Jess and Nancy met up with Jonathan to talk. "This is where we know for sure it's been. Right?" Jonathan said, looking at a map he made out of Hawkins.
