Several years ago, in an era of pain and lost hope, there was a broken kingdom called Hyrule. This kingdom was once united by the Light, the great regions of the land forged by the Goddesses themselves to give a home to those who have lived far before the people's knowledge. It was a darling kingdom, from the grand castle of the Royal Family to the simple villages that span across the land. The kingdom itself, despite being so vibrant, had dealt with various hardships over time. Flooding, darkness, war. Our story takes place only several years after the conclusion of one of these hardships. 100 years of struggling survival among Hylians who survived the massive attack that is the Great Calamity. A time of technology turned for the worst. The Era of Burning Fields, the groundwork of rehabilitation. Thankfully, a blessing was brought upon the hardworking people of this land. The thought to be lost princess, and the last knight of the Hyrulean Royal Guard, arose from the ashes of the past to bring the harmony back to the land. They then went on to rebuild the kingdom, working tirelessly to bring closure to the people.
For twenty years the two have worked to build Hyrule back to its feet. The technology people feared so were properly dealt with. Temples were constructed to honor the importance of kingdom unity and remind citizens how much they worked for this land. Even slimming species managed to grow under this new time of peace. The princess and knight were then united in marriage, and with their wedding they bless the land with their peace, allowing the new villages to continue life in peace.
One of these villages was Ridan Village, a small and a younger town with some of the kingdom's most friendly people, humble housings and cheerful children that allowed their imaginations to run free. Among these children was a six year old girl named (Y/n) (L/n). (Y/n) was a wonder of a child who had an eye for adventure and action, and who loves stories of epic battles and conquests. She had an enthusiastic spirit, but never initiated any travels of her own. She often asked to, but was always declined, for her family believed in a farm lifestyle for their young child. She always wondered what her land was like from outside the village, but she would never be able to learn at such a young age. She loved her village, don't get her wrong, but she was curious of the other fields, what lakes were, and how high the mountains could be. But most of all, she was curious of Hyrule Castle, where she wanted for so long to train to be Hyrule's first female knight. She yearned to be a protector of the Royal Family ever since her father told her the story of the first Hero. She knew she may never actually reach such a status to be considered a hero, but she didn't mind. She only wanted to protect her country as a knight. A strange girl to others around her, yet herself was unbeknownst to their thoughts.
Young (Y/n) was now sitting on her house's doorstep, wearing her (f/c) top with a (2nd f/c) scarf wrapped around her waist, black leather string sandals, and a few dark brown belts around her waist and shoulders in a sash style. She was looking up at the clouds, daydreaming as usual. She sighs, looking back to the ground. "One day, I'll be a knight," she says. "An' I'll be the one at the Royal Family's side! I just know it!" She grabs a nearby stick and stands, marching around the yard of her house. "I'm gonna be the first girl knight! And no one will stop me!" She swings the stick, as if it were her own sword. "No monster, no bad guy, no demon!" After around a minute of chanting, she stops and stands straight, holding the stick across her chest in a formal salute. "Your Majesty," She said, practicing her formal greeting and oath as if she was at the castle. "I am Knight (Y/n) of Ridan Village. My body is your shield, my power is your armor, and my pride is in your hands. .... No, that's not right." The young (h/c) haired girl paced while tapping the tip of her stick against her chin, thinking. "Hmm..." she says, ruffling her hair with one hand as she thinks. "My body is your shield, and then... maybe if I said my SPIRIT is their armor...? Or maybe even my soul... Oh! I know!" She jumps up happily while getting in her salute position again, ready to say her whole phrase.
