It has now been four months since you had awoken Link from his troublesome night. As time had passed, you had grown strong in mind, body, and spirit. Not only that, but you had also grown closer to Prince Link as a person, just as he wanted. You were one of the few people he confidently called his friends. Especially after that night. He seemed to grow far more clingy with you, trying to stick around when he could and talking to you with every chance you both could get. It was an interesting change from the normally formal and shy personified boy. That, of course, was not all you were doing. You also trained very intensely to become the knight you yearned to be. Most knights in the guard still thought you were insane to join the guard, and some were still disgusted with your intrusion in Prince Link's room. All they could see of you was a young village girl training as a knight who dared to invade where she wasn't welcome. But their distant whispers and judgments didn't stop you from pushing on. You trained every day, starting earlier than others awoke and training later than others could do. All to prove yourself to be tougher than everyone had thought. it was hard, and it left you with various cramps, but it was all up to you.

Eventually, you bested a great majority of the other trainees. Your trainers even said you were more determined than most they've seen in the past. This made you very proud of yourself and it only urged you to press on. 'This'll show Mother and Father!' You thought every now and then. One day, while you were testing your archery, the trainees around had decided to give you a little space. They figured giving you attention for your "crime" wouldn't do anything, so some of them wanted to exclude you altogether. So aside from your trainer, General Leon, who was observing your skill. He was giving you a small smile as you went. He was very proud of your skill, and your growth. He knew you were destined for greatness, and he encouraged you all he could. However, this particular day, he was expecting something very important later that night, so he decided to walk over to you. "(Y/n)," He said to you.

You lower your already drawn bow, turning to look at him. "Yes, Sir?" You ask.

"Why don't you turn in a little early today?" He offered. "You've been working terribly hard over the past few months. It saddens me to see you push yourself so."

Your brow furrows a bit, just confused. "Are you sure?" You asked. "But I'm not even done with the regular--"

"Its alright. You've earned it. I promise, no one will pester you about it."

You seemed a little skeptical about the offer, but you knew it would be dishonorable to deny such a request. You nod slightly, handing your bow to him. "As you wish, General. Thank you." Stretching a little, you start to walk back inside. 'How strange...' you thought. But of course, as you walked, various trainees just whispered among themselves, disapproval filling the air. You just roll your eyes as you go on, turning the corner. Just down the hall, looking out a window, your prince did stand. His ear twitched, and he turned to you. He smiled, stepping back from the window.

"(Y/n)!" He said, walking over. "I didn't think I would get to see you so early. What are you doing in here so soon?"

You give a quick curtsy, returning the smile he gave. "Hello, your Highness," You said. "I was asked to be dismissed of training a little early today."

He suddenly looked a bit worried, gently placing a hand on your shoulder. "Why? Are you alright?" He asked. "Are you injured? Ill?"

You shake your head. "No, of course not," You say. "General Leon just wanted to give me a bit of time to myself. You know, since I've apparently been overworking myself."

He looks a bit surprised at the explanation. But it didn't take long for a smile to break though, a small laugh escaping. "I suppose I would be lying if I said he was joking," He said.
