The Bokoblin army spread throughout Hyrule Field as it blocked their massive leader. The Bokoblin King blew on his horn to signal his location, leaving his followers to screech and squeal upon hearing it. Luckily, you could hear it to. You were riding a bit far behind the stampede, actually able to feel the ground below you shake from the hoard of boars and monsters ahead. You urged Nayore to go faster, keeping your eye on the post Impa was tied to. She did as you commanded, but cautiously. You grab your bow and began loading an arrow.
"I've never done horseback shooting," you say, "but here goes nothing!"
You draw your bow back and fire an arrow at a nearby Bokoblin, making it fall of and the boar it rode run off. You fire another arrow at one in front of you, getting it straight through the head. It fell off soon after.
And that's when you decided to get risky.
You quickly load two arrows at once, aiming for one of the double-rider boars. You fire them, hitting both Bokoblins and making them fall. You smirk a bit to yourself and keep going. You then felt a sudden jolt of pain in your arm, causing you to scream and almost lose control of Nayore. You look and see a fire arrow lodged in your lower bicep. Luckily, the fire didn't do much since you had the Red Diamond, but the arrow still hurt! You carefully, and quickly, pull it out and glare in the direction it came from. You see a Bokoblin on a boar doing a taunting dance, laughing.
"Wanna play it that way, huh?!" You say. You load and fire an arrow at it, quickly killing it. A few of the boars tried to surround you, closing in on all sides. You put your bow away and draw your sword, slashing at the beasts. The Bokoblins fell and the boar scattered.
'This is... odd...' you think. 'This entire thing is... Familiar. Like I've done this before...'
You keep your sword drawn as you charge the Bokoblin King, who was literally leading you in circles. It circled across almost all of Hyrule Field, blowing his horn. Reinforcements came to his aid, as well as demonic birds flying down from the sky.
"Great..." You mutter.
You fire arrows at the birds, luckily making them fall, then try to get close enough to the extra Bokoblins to cut them down. You only manage to take down two or three groups, then one catches you off guard and knocks you off of Nayore. You yelp and fall off, groaning on impact. Nayore keeps running, as if she wants to go after the Bokoblins too. You moan and sit up, shaking your head. "Nayru, why...?" You say quietly. You stand back up and look to your left, seeing the Bokoblin King charge right for you.
First instinct: jump.
You jumped to the side, out of the way of Bokoblin King's path. You see Nayore following. Taking a chance, you grab her reigns and jump onto her back, luckily succeeding. You chase down the Bokoblin King all the way to a stone bridge in the west, connecting Hyrule Fields with a majority of the Faron region. Below that bridge was 200 foot drop to a river that leads to Lake Hylia. Fall over and you're done for.
He rides all the way to one side of the bridge, but he doesn't completely cross. You stop on your end as he turns to face you. You couldn't quite make out what he was doing, but you did see him gesture up to Impa. You then see his boar scrape its front leg against the ground, as if it's ready to charge. You grip the reigns attached to Nayore, clutching your sword in the other. You knew where this would go. One of you was gonna die. And it won't be you.
As soon as his boar squeals in rage, you began your charge, the Bokoblin King quickly doing the same. You side to the near edge of the bridge and slash at him as he comes by, causing him to nearly lose control. You quickly turn Nayore around when you're at the other side of the bridge. The Bokoblin King did the same, his piercing red eyes glaring at you. You both charge again, but he had a different tactic now. He swerved from side to side, giving you less swinging room. You had to think fast. And you did.
