You soon make it to a large, ruby red onyx door on one side of the mountain. Its gates were wide open as ash and ember flew with the hot breeze. This didn't bother you, however, thanks to the necklace given to you. You go over and lightly touch the pillars of the sacred place. It's evil presence burned through the flame, creating chills along your back. You glare down the staircase leading inside. "You're not getting away this time, Ghirahim!" You then burst into a run down the staircase, hurrying into the temple's flaming belly.
Taking a first glance at your new surroundings, you see the walls were completely made of stone. The ground, granite. Lava pots were spotted to your left and right, leaving a path in the middle, swarming with Fire Keese. "Great..." you mumble, glancing at the flaming bats. Drawing your bow, you carefully took aim and shot the bats into dust, one by one. But you didn't have time to retrieve your arrows, for they burned to ash after killing the Keese. "Dang it!" You say, putting your bow away. Wooden arrows aren't the best in a fire temple.
You make your way down the path, taking the Goron's Ruby out of your bag. It started to hover ever so slightly above your hand. It gave off a faint glow, leading you to the demonic source. You make your way down a dark hallway, only lit by torches along the walls and the Ruby in your hands. Your eyes trailed across the stone-walled room. All you could see was cracked rock. All you could hear was the crackling of the fire in the torches. After what seemed like hours of walking, you arrive at a corridor with three doors.
One to the left, one to the right, and one in the center. They all seemed identical. But you knew going down the wrong one could lead to trouble. You glance at the Ruby, then hold it out in front of you. You slowly move your hand side to side, seeing how the Ruby changes it's brightness. You saw it glow brightest when you held it in front of the door to the right. You lower the Ruby and head for the door.
"(Y..."
You stop in your tracks, startled by the sound. The voice. A voice shaken, but longing. A voice showing fear, but hope. You knew what it was. Who it was.
"Link?"
You look around. You don't see anything, and it seems your quest was irrelevant at the moment. Your focus was on the voice of Prince Link.
...n)..."
You look at the middle door, then walk over and look inside. Inside the room was a large, red statue of the Goddess Din, who appeared to be in a pose resembling her being in mid-dance. In one of her hands she held an orange orb with the symbol of Power on it. Your eyes widen. 'A Goddess Statue...' you think. You glance at the door you were supposed to go through. "Just a minute can't hurt..." You mumble. You walk into the center door and over to the statue. The minute you were only a few feet away, the room slowly went black, a faint red glow illuminating from below your feet. Thinking of what you had to do before, you slowly knelt down, bringing your hands up once again as your eyes closed.
“Din. Great Goddess of Hyrule, being of Power and keeper of our Earth. I am the holder of Courage, your holder's opponent destined to defeat the dark around her. I call to you, aid in our bond. Connect the prince, the prisoner of your Triforce, to my spirit so we may speak once more. I understand ours may differ, but I beg of you to let my heart pass.”
You open your eyes a bit to barely see the statue seem to fade, leaving the prince in its place.
Link's golden hair was messed up on his right side, his left bangs swept almost perfectly across his forehead, not getting in the way of his beautiful blue eyes. His attire matched the last visit, but looked more dirty. You could barely see bruises on his wrists beneath the cuffs his chains, most likely from the strain. His eyes met yours, and a gentle smile came across his lips. "(Y/n)... you've made it..."
