"Are you sure that is safe?" I shrug and run full speed at the wall. Hoping it is the right one. And when I get to the wall I feel an ice like sensation as I pass into a smoke filled platform. Nothing else is heard of from my family and I wonder through the station until I realise that I need to go. My heart races as I drag my suitcase and hold my cat carrier onto the train. Hope filled me when a smiling woman greeted me. Her face was happy but her overly large glasses made me smile slightly. For the next year I would be a Flint and I would only see my family over holidays. Not that I would allow myself much time to think about it as I wandered through until an empty place was spotted. I walked in and sat down beside the window and looked out. Steam and waving families seeing their loved ones off. Acting like they may never even return. Still though it was 2000 and a new decade seemed to hang over us all.

My head snapped to the door when someone else had entered and I smiled at them. Nothing much had passed between us but they seemed to be highly nervous as they spoke.

"Is-is it okay if I sit in here? I'm a first year is all." I nod and let him sit as the journey pushes on. Nothing else entering my mind as the boy sat. He was tall for his age, black hair was shaved to be ever so slightly shorter at the sides and his face held a few freckles. Not too dissimilar to my own as I took in his features.

"Iona Amara Flint. You are?" He looked at me with eyes slightly wide as he spoke hesitantly. Trying to be calm.

"Apollo Anthony Jones. Nice to meet you. My uh, my older sister dated a Flint." I smiled slightly and let him relax some more.

"I wasn't raised by Flints. No clue about magic until Professor Bell turned up at my door about six weeks ago. Well, I got my letters but did not believe them at all." He nodded and the both of us fell into easy and comforting conversation.

"What house was your family in?" He stopped for a split second and smiled brightly at me.

"They were all Hufflepuff but my sister wasn't one though. She was a Slytherin." I nodded as he spoke to me freely until another person came in, and then another. They smiled brightly and held a confidence that made me a little jealous.

"Hello, pretties. First year too? Well, let us show you the ropes." The two looked nothing alike but they behaved like they were the same person. One spoke as the other moved their hands as if they were also talking. A smile taking to their faces and I felt it was a little contagious as I smiled wide as well. Nothing quite missing my eyes as I noticed the two sit on opposite sides, both placing an arm around Apollo and myself.

"I do believe that you are the prettiest creature I have beheld. I mean, look at him." They pointed to Apollo and both began laughing.

"Names," I stated mischievously and they bowed ever so slightly and one spoke.

"I am Emily Roberts and this is Isaac Andrews. It is all your pleasure to meet us." I narrowed my eyes and gave the lightest pinch to the girl with her arm around my shoulder. She was stunning, dark skin and eyes so dark that they could make a person get lost in them for the rest of their lives. The boy was paler and had hair that was a similar shade to Apollo.

"Well Emily and Isaac I am Iona and this is Apollo. Dare I ask how you know one another?" They looked into one another's eyes and smirks spread as they had thought up the answer.

"Their parents are good friends. Don't lie to the poor girl." Apollo spoke playfully and his fear had gone. It was clear he knew the two fairly well and for the very first time I felt like the trip was going to be fun, and so would the year. With students such as the three with me, hopefully they would be in the same house as me.

I looked on as the three spoke and I felt like I could just listen forever and they seemed to be able to talk forever. This stopped when they turned to me as a question was asked.
