He ran to his closet and began pulling out clothes. Nibbles sat silently watching him pack almost keeping watch. Everything he would need to survive was in his fanny pack but...

He couldn't bother the Cullens. It wasn't like they could do anything.

"Nib Nib." He whined curling into a ball on his floor. The dog pawed his arms and tried to climb in but Axel wasn't having it.

"Pack your clothe- Oh. Nevermind. You know you should have see this coming..." His foster mother paused almost waiting for a reaction.

Axel didn't disappoint.

"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME!" He threw his suitcase hitting her in the face. She teared up blocking herself defensively. He grabbed Nibs and jumped out of the window.

He could hear her calling the cops but he didn't slow in the slightest. Nibbles whimpered and whined from his tight hold before he lightened up.

"Sorry... We're homeless, now." He whispered cradling the dog like a baby. Nib licked his cheek and walked around the unfamiliar terrain.

It was complete forest wherever he looked.

Axel started running towards the right before stopping himself. Where did he come from?

"Nib, where's the house?" He asked. The pup tilted her head in confusion.

"Oh, fuck me." He gasped hearing rustles in the bushes.

The human screamed as a giant grey wolf jumped out growling. He blocked himself with his arms waiting for his death.

Until he realized the pain hadn't come.

Nibs barked and the wolf watched him before crawling into his arms. Axel was scared stiff as the giant wolf wrapped around him.

The human felt sleepy as adrenaline levels dropped. He fought to keep his eyes open but succame to the darkness.

"Is he your imprint, Paul?" A feminine voice asked before a wet towel was placed on Axel's head.

"Yea, Rach."

"You still love me?" She asked caressing his cheek and pulling him close.

"Of course, I feel protective of him." He replied sitting on the bed next to the sleeping boy.

"How did he find his way into La Push?" She asked caressing his head.

"His family lives up the way. I might give him back tomorrow." He cracked his neck.

"He's so stressed. I'll get the lavender." Rachel said getting up and lighting the incense stick. The smell of the purple sticks wafted around the room calming everyone. The dog in the corner stopped snoring and quieted into a restful sleep.

Axel groaned opening his eyes, "Where...?"

"You're on La Push reservation. I'm Paul and this is my girlfriend, Rachel." He introduced himself before kneeling down towards him. "You?"

"Axel. Axel Uley." He groaned and Paul laughed.

"I have a friend with the same name as you." He said in a joking voice.

"Axel?"

"No, Uley. His name is Sam."

"Oh." His stomach growled and the boy blushed.

"I'll make dinner. Do you like fish?" She asked.

"I'd like fish. I'm not picky." She looked at Paul and he nodded.

He ate with the couple and explained his situation.

"You're being re-homed and you threw a suitcase at your mom."

"That's the summary."

"Badass." He chuckled making his girlfriend hit him.

"Paul, don't praise him. What if that was his wife or girlfriend?" She said firmly yet careful not to anger him.

"Yea, she's right. You shouldn't hit girls."

"You shouldn't hit anyone!" Rachel corrected.

"What if a guy tried to fight him man to man?" Paul asked her.

"Then you talk about it like civilized men!"

"That's stupid." Axel chipped in making them blush as they remembered that he was there.

"You shouldn't resort to violence." She said simply.

"She was taunting him about it. I've heard that foster families are terrible half the time."

"I'm 17 almost 18. I'll be 18 in May." He explained.

"Do you even have a car or anything, Kid?" He shook his head and Paul cursed.

"We could offer shelter. Nobody has to know about him being here and he just met us so the police has no leads." Rach explained.

Axel looked at Paul with wide eyes, "Are you harbouring a criminal?"

"I don't even know." Paul replied.
------

Axel sat in Paul's living room debating if he should call Alice. Or Jasper. It had been almost a week since he began living with them. When he asked, Paul said that the Cullens didn't belong there and that he should find better friends.

Paul's like a big brother figure and Rachel is like a big sister. Not as motherly as Esme though.

He couldn't help but wonder if they missed him. If Jasper missed him...

Axel's face lit up is a beet red blush.

He had a crush on Jasper, too. And he loved Alice.

"Fuck..."
