AN- Wow, Jason's 'past' finally caught up to him...so what's he gonna do? Hide in plain view? Enjoy X)

Leo's voice was the same as ever. Before Jason could register this new turn of events, someone else spoke up.

"Yeah, Mandy. Good thing you got a job here. I kinda like Lizzy."

Jason tried not to react, because the second voice belonged to Percy. He cursed Hecate; she must have that magic in the air thing, the kind which brings all your thoughts to life.

Jason put up his hoodie and scooted aside, giving Amanda a meaningful look, hoping that she wouldn't open her bright cheerful mouth and give him away. Mandy shot him a look that said, God, deal with it. Stop running away.

But how could Jason meet these people...his friends? Most likely they'd probably kill him, for not catching up with them after Percy's wedding.

So he pretended to behave like a coffee junkie.

Meanwhile, side by side, Leo and Percy sat beside him, not even glancing at him. They chatted in friendly tones with Mandy. They must have been frequent visitors to where she worked previously. He prayed to all the gods that they'd finish their daily dose and walk away.
But Jason's luck had been bad for a long time. Fortuna was not feeling graceful towards him.

Pun intended.

"Just a second, guys, I'll just ask that guy over there what his order is." Mandy said.

"Sure, Mandy." Leo chirped, gobbling down his coffee.

Mandy came over and hissed at him, while managing to keep a smile.

"You have to say hi, you know. Its bad manners if you don't."

"Oh c'mon, Mandy. No. They'll kill me, especially since I broke my promise to them."

"Well, if you don't stop running away and continue to hide, I'll tell on you."

"What? You wouldn't."

"Oh, I would."

"God, why are you getting so involved in my life?"

"Because we happen to have common acquaintances. Plus, they've talked a lot about you, when I used to work at the cafe across."

"Whatever."

"Fine, then. I won't."

Jason breathed a sigh relief. Mandy moved away.

Too early to be relieved.

"Hey, guys, guess who we have here?"

"Who?" Percy asked.

"That blond dude you want to kill."

"Jason? Where?" The sudden urgency in Percy's voice was bad. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Percy and Leo searching around.

"God, you douches. The guy in the hoodie, next to you."

Jason squeezed his eyes shut. Blow coming in 1, 2, 3-

"Grace, you damned asshole!" Leo yelled, along with some Spanish curses.

Jason removed his hoodie.

"Uh, hi, guys." He began awkwardly, looking at them.

And he had his cheek punched by Percy.

"Dude!" Percy whisper yelled, "Where the fuck were you?"
