Jason still felt needles of anger, now as he recalled his 'shopping trip'.

He was mad, beyond mad actually, and he didn't know why. Well, he did know, but that shouldn't have really made him that mad, right?

"Sooo...both you and Piper freaked out...over nothing." Percy said, with a thinking expression.

"It wasn't nothing. It was just...you know, I don't even know what."

They, meaning he, Percy and Leo, were sitting in Percy's apartment. Josh was sleeping inside one of the rooms, and Annabeth was gods knew where. And obviously, Piper wasn't there, because Jason had dropped her off somewhere in Brooklyn (obviously, she didn't want him knowing where her apartment was. Smart girl.). Rather callous of her to just leave Josh at Percy's (his protective dad feeling), but then, she really must have trusted them to take care. Also, it was probably good that she not move Josh now that he was sleeping peacefully after so many hours of travel.

"Jason, dude, you just like...probably ruined your chance of getting her back." Leo said

"Yeah...I mean, why did YOU freak out?"

"Because...I-"

"Arrrgh!" Someone yelled in the apartment.  Jason jumped, causing his foot to clash with the table and almost topple the cup of coffee to spill. He controlled the winds to save it, just in the nick of the time.

"Who was that?" He asked Percy. Percy had his head in his hands while Leo was trying not to laugh.

"That's-"

"There is no food in this freaking place!"

"- Annabeth trying to eat the fridge...I mean, its contents."

"Percy! Perseus Jackson! Where is the freaking panini!" Annabeth yelled, coming out of the kitchen, looking ready to skewer anyone in her path right now. Jason and Leo immediately straightened, scrambling to hide. Anywhere but in her path.

Percy remained sitting.

"C'mon, Annabeth, I-"

"I told you to get it! I'm hungry now! Oh gods, Seaweed Brain, why do you do this?"

"I'm sorry, Annabeth. I promise, I'll go to the store today and get it, ok? Now, you should sleep. I promise, I'll get it today."

Annabeth smiled, yawned sleepily, sat on the sofa, put her head on Leo's shoulder (Leo trying not to flinch) and started snoring.

"What? Um, Percy-"

"Please. Deal with it. If you move, ninja girl's gonna come back. For me, man, Leo."

"But then I won't be able to hear you and Jason gossiping!"

"It's not gossip, Leo." Jason said.

"Yeah, whatever, man. I want to know what else happened!"

"Leo, we'll tell you later. I'll even give you that old radio transmitter I found in the storage room. Deal?"

Old stuff meant a lot to Leo, who loved tinkering with stuff. He brightened up, and nodded, while taking out nuts and bolts out of his tool belt. Annabeth continued sleeping.

Percy led Jason outside, towards his balcony. A moonlace plant (the second one, gifted by Calypso) bloomed in the moonlight.

Percy balanced himself on the railing, and crossed his arms over his chest.
