PIPER'S POV

Piper trudged up the stairs to her apartment and groaned. The days activities were too exhausting to even think about.

Her body ached from running around- Piper now realized that Josh got over excited when new people were around. He had been impossible to keep track of, or feed- he just kept hiding behind people and silly things like that, and Piper tried to keep her cool. Finally, Jason had been able to grab hold of him and keep him sitting on his lap.

Jason...he was part of the reason she was having the giant headache. After he'd been noble and told her how he was going to set everything right, Piper had excused herself and cried for almost an hour in the washroom- and she had no idea why. As a result, her eyes, nose and head hurt like anything. Josh went with Percy and Annabeth, which Piper was OK with- she trusted them with anything.

Yeah, except her little sexy secret. Which Annabeth knew now, and Piper didn't know how long she'd keep her mouth shut.

She entered her apartment, alone. The windows had been left open, making the place chilly. She shut them, and then looked around the place.

Last night. Last night she and Jason had stood here, talking. Then kissing. Then going towards her bed room. The memories made her head throb even more.

She continued staring and saw how un homely her place looked- things were still left to pack and put in the right place. Her apartment looked bare- like her single status. Ugh, life.

Piper put all of that out her mind and went to her bed, where she flopped down, without changing. She didn't feel like it. She felt like crap. Also, the bed was cold, because there wasn't any hottie blonde nearby to keep it warm.

Feeling annoyed with her moping, she did the best thing she could. She called Leo.

Leo was her constant support. He was like a brother to her, annoying yet protective of her. They'd known each other way before they knew they were demigods, which made it even more special.

After he'd gone missing after the Giant War, nightmares attacked Piper. She thought she could deal with his sacrifice, but she couldn't. That had been the hardest, most miserable part of life- trying to hold on to hope for Leo's return. Jason had been instrumental in that, and Piper knew without Jason, she would have sunk into a deep pit of depression and never come out. When Leo returned, she had been sure to at least break five bones in his body.

Even while she was away, hiding- she missed Leo terribly. Piper was super glad he had always been there for her.

And now he was going to be forced to chose between her and Jason.

Well, she didn't care.

She called him up, and after five rings, he picked up. Caribbean music seemed to play in the background.

"Hola, Piper! How may I help ya?" He said cheerfully.

"I don't know. I just need someone to talk to."

"Aw." The music decreased in volume, and it grew silent. "Well, speak up. Calypso's not here either. I'm your buddy now."

Piper smiled. Haha, Leo's lameness worked sometimes.

"Nothing...gosh, I'm depressed."

"Why? Too many memories about Jay?"

"Shut up, that's my nickname for him. And yeah. I don't know, Lee-lee. He seems to have changed for the good but I'm so scared...its just so stupid."
