Kiss. What was it? A symbol of love. A symbol of fun. But for Jason, that kiss had been...different.
It had been a kiss that felt familiar and alien at the same time. Familiar because it was Piper. Alien because he hadn't felt those lips in five years.

He was shocked, and he hadn't kissed back. THAT was what annoyed Jason like hell; that he'd not kissed her back. Jason wanted to give himself a massive electro-shock therapy and then just forget about his mistake.

He was alone in his apartment, almost 2 in the morning, sipping chilled beer, because he was feeling fucked up, literally.

He wanted to be alone, and think. He also didn't want to think, and the conflict was giving him a massive headache.

And as if that wasn't enough, the doorbell rang. At freaking 2 in the morning, the fucking doorbell rang. Didn't anyone know the concept of TIME?

Jason got up and opened the door, and there were Percy and Leo, standing like 2 excited kids on Christmas morning.

"Hey-ho, Jason!" Percy greeted, pushing past him and setting a brown paper bag on the table, out of which he took out 2 bottles of beer.

"Bro, what the fuck?" Jason inquired, also getting pushed out of the way by Leo.

"Nothing. I was bored. Annabeth was sleeping, and then Leo just now closed his machine shop, so I took him along and came here. Did we disturb you?"

"Of course not, Percy. Humans and demigods are awake at 2 in the morning! It isn't a big deal." Jason answered sarcastically. Percy just rolled his eyes.

Jason decided to just sit down silently and share a drink or two with these idiots. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Well, he drank less, but he opened his huge mouth and told them about the kiss.

"Dude, that's so awesome!" Leo crowed. Percy nodded too.

"Yeah, but...gods, how am I going to face her again?" 

"Aw, you didn't do anything bad! You just go face her all macho and boss, flick your hair. Maybe pout a little. She'll kiss you again and it'll be happily ever after." Leo replied.

"Huh." Jason said, because he didn't know what to say. Leo's idea sounded silly as well as tempting at the same time. 

And then the whole night changed. With a simple phone call.

Jason's phone (house) rang shrilly, making him jump. Man, why was everyone suddenly waking up in the middle of the night?

Jason hurried and took the phone.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Um, hey, Jason. Its, uh, Piper."

Jason took a full two minutes before registering her.

"Oh, hey! Um, what's up?"

"Nothing much. Listen, could you come over?"

"What? Why?"

"Actually, Josh was trying that stupid flying trick you showed in MSG on our balcony, and he kind of tripped. And got hurt. By accident, obviously. I healed him with nectar and ambrosia and he's fine, except he isn't sleeping."
